I was curious about these books when I saw the bundle. Are they any good? Do they provide a substantial help for the DM when making worlds etc? Or are they the kind that you might peruse once then forget about them?

If you're not willing or able to to discuss in good faith, then don't be surprised if I don't respond, there are better things in life for me to do than humour you. This signature is that response.
they are nice. if you get them and its not threw Beyond, then you cant access the stuff on Beyond with your other stuff. i have printed hardcovers of the nice books. nice 3rd party gaming material
I have a couple of these from my KS backing (which included a few extras found among this stack as a coupon). The content is fun, if a bit overclocked, and designed for 2014 for those who care. I would say you are getting this bundle at a steal if you don't care too much about balance issues that result from its use.
I love me some Kobold Press! I own a few of those books, including the older edition of Deep Magic. I agree that some of that stuff is a balance nightmare, but a lot of it is really fun! If nothing else, it's a massive amount of ideas and world building.
