Being relatively new to D&D, I'm fairly ignorant of much of the lore (@WotC read that as very willing to buy a multiple setting sourcebook). Though surely WotC have some wiggle room with the lore, they could depart at least slightly from previous editions if necessary, couldn't they? Or would that be very ill-received by older fans?
I'd much rather have the off-worlding stuff contained within the multiple-setting book. Otherwise, to make full use of either book you'll want the other, whereas I think it would be better to only need one. To some degree the planescape stuff is referenced within the current books, which is why I'd prefer just sticking Spelljammer in with the main setting stuff. If a group wants to do it the planescape way, they've got a decent amount of material to use for that, but anyone that wants to do it Spelljammer style has to find or create some HB, like this cool one by c0re.
I'd still be happy either way - it would be really great to see some expanded setting stuff - I'd just be slightly more happy getting my Spelljammer with my other settings.
I'd like to see Volo's Guide to Monsters integrated into this site, as I looked through the monsters section and I don't think I saw any. I did make a pretty low perception roll though.
I understand It's basically at Beta launch, and we might see this later down the road, but I'm just putting it out there that I'd like to see all the material that's outside of the PHB, DMG, and MM as well, including UA and all other WotC sanctioned products. It would make sense to put unofficial things like UA in it's own section, or have an option to separate it. Maybe you could have a UA mode where you could choose between integration and segregation of all UA material?

Stuff covered by the OGL / SRD will be freely available to anyone.
All other material (like Volo's) is going to be added, but it won't be free, and they're going to work out the bugs in beta first.

there's a fair amount of UA stuff that I don't think would make it in
My bet is that you'll see a few previous UA releases revisited (like Mass Combat, and now theurgists) if they want one last round of feedback before polishing. Everything else in UA is getting that polishing... and when it's all done, we'll see the hardback around Christmas.
The purist in me would love to see that hardback called Unearthed Arcana, or maybe Unearthed Arcana volume 1, or something. A nice callback to previous editions. But I can see where that could cause confusion between the hardback and the ongoing web articles. Hopefully it won't be anything like Player Handbook 2 or the like.

I too am hoping that the UA articles will get polished, then polished some more, and polished again to be complied into a book. Perhaps release a new compilation every other year or so, even then though, I don't think there would be enough stuff to fill a hardback book. Maybe a softcover or something...I'm not sure.

Just as is probably not, but if they added some starting adventures geared towards each of the new classes they would definitely have enough for a book.
Given how many bugs are present in just the SRD content, I'm thinking that adding free playtest material that's just going to change later probably isn't high on their priority list.
Given that most of the UA stuff is play testing, I doubt it will show up here until it reaches it's final printed form and they don't have to completely keep changing it.
WotC might not be running this site but I'm sure they have some sort of say in the goings on of the site. Uploading UA would be a decent way to further get that information out there for people to try and test out.
I have a lot (metric tons) of old D&D setting books, but I will certainly buy any updated setting books they publish. I get an endorphin rush from buying game books. WOTC should take advantage of the obsessive collector demographic.
Its definitely possible that they would add UA stuff in the future... I would hope they would at least!
You mentioned that it was a pain searching for all of the PDFs. Its missing the last 2 or 3 releases, but someone made this handy "Codex of UA" that reads like a PHB or DMG. Its not exactly endorsed by WoTC, so I'm not going to link it here, but its out there.
My guess is UA stuff would have to be added through the homebrew module. It would be nice to have an option for users to share their homebrew items and allow others to add it into their account.

While true, you would have to pay a programmer, or at the very least someone, to add (incomplete) content to the website, remove the information that becomes irrelevant, then re-add all the new information and continue doing this until you reach the final form, then finally set the information to whatever book/work it finally belongs to. My guess is that it would be way more work and costs than would be worth the effort.

If they set it up right, then adding new content should be relatively easy. They could probably even write the UA in the right format and have an automated tool do both the PDF formatting and the adding to D&D:B. It should really be negligible effort over creating the UA in the first place, and I expect it's something they will do.

Let's all keep in mind that Unearthed Arcana is beta testing the classes.
They then get revisions based on feedback and private playtesting. Whenever they are satisfied with that, they put it in a book.
My thoughts on the matter were that they could import them each time one came out. That would make this app a vessel for greater testing feedback.
I agree with Eli. Wider dispersal means more playtesting, and more playtesting means a better polished final product for possible release later.

Even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in awhile.
This is still just the beta. I don't think anyone thinks it will happen until after the bugs are fixed.
