The only way for someone to have control over your character sheet is if the character is in a campaign. Then the DM of that campaign can modify the sheet.
So have your friend create a campaign, then invite you to it. Join with that character and he'll be able to manage that character.
I tried this -- a friend UNASSIGNED their character in a campaign and I CLAIMed it ... but any time I tried to either change hit points or unequip equipment or modify spell slots I got an error - You don't have access to complete the action. Is this no longer supported? It looks like it *almost* works -- I can literally see the HP change just before the page refreshes to show me the error.

Sup guys
I was wandering, how can i share a character i made on D&D Beyond with a friend?
I made the character, but now he want to have it on his account so he can level up and keep him update.
Thanks

That's what happens when you wear a helmet your whole life!

There's another way, although it still involves creating a campaign temporarily:
-Create the campaign
-add the character to that campaign
-Unassign that character fro within the campaign
-Send invite link to friend; tell them to claim unassigned character
Now your friend "owns" the character. They can leave it in the campaign or move it.

thanks guy
now i created a campaign ans unassigned the character, BUT when i copy the link, my friend can't join...
always bring him to sign up page
Does your friend have an account? Are they logged in? If they get the sign up page it sounds like the answer to one or more of those questions is no.
