I am interested in collecting information to see which classes are the D&D community’s favorite and least favorite to play. This is the poll for everyone’s favorite to play, here is the link for everyone’s least favorite if you’d like to check that one out as well: Everyone’s LEAST favorite class to play in D&D.
Please feel free to place your vote (only 1 vote per user), as well as talk about why you like to play that class or fun/cunning things you have done with that particular class in the comments (optional).
Thank you for voting and looking forward to see what the results come up with!
I chose Monk. I've played a other classes more than I've played Monk, however the feelings I get when I play a Monk is much more evocative of the style of character I want to play than any others I've played. I took Martial Arts for years and even taught for a short time before my oldest was born, the elements of the class bring me right back to those day and even though I'd probably hurt myself more than someone else if I tried to do the crazy jump spinning kicks I describe my character as doing I still get a huge smile whenever I play this character.
It's hard to pick one. I like Monks, Bards, and Warlocks for all the style you can get out of them.
That is exactly my play style. I like the versatility of the classes. They have something to do in every situation. With an agile and creative mind you can always find something to do.
I tend to narrow by process of elimination for the classes I like to play.
I really like having access to magic and prefer avoiding a straight melee class (eliminating barbarian, monk, rogue, and fighter).
I also dislike being constrained to alignment dependent characters (paladins and clerics).
Having access to charisma is always sweet as well (bard, sorcerer, and warlock).
I also most certainly despise having to prepare spells for the day. It’s not that it’s a bad mechanic, it simply isn’t my preferred play style. (Eliminating wizard, clerics, and druids).
I’m also not a fan of regaining my heavily reliant features after a short rest. Once again, it’s not a bad mechanic, it’s simply not my play style. (Eliminating warlock).
Out of all, I very greatly enjoy playing a bard with its flexibility however I also wouldn’t oppose playing a blood hunter (even though I know it’s not on this list) or a sorcerer.
Honestly I really enjoy the rogue because of all the classes, from a story perspective the rouge has the most versatility. Plus i love to multi-class and 1 level of rogue can fit into any type of build. I made strength builds, charisma builds and even constitution builds. I also multi-class rogue into every other class you can think of except ranger that's the one class i don't understand.

Seems like you're a ranger dude, since you never mentioned a reason not to like them...

Rangers are the best, and have always been the best
I love rogues. I love a lot of classes, but I just really like rogues. It was the first class I really understood the mechanics of, so I used to play tons of them. I like the mechanics, I love reliable talent and expertise, and I love RPing rogues. There are so many cool multiclass combos that lead to cool backstories.
After rogues, it would be clerics, then wizards and fighters. I love a lot of other classes too, these are just the top 4.
Rogue
Cleric
Wizard and Fighter
Warlock
Artificer
Monk
Bard
Druid
Paladin
Barbarian
Ranger (I love the flavor but they're so bad!!!)
Sorcerer
EDIT: If we're including Blood Hunters they would be #5 and everything else would move down.
I'm currently playing a fighter (EK), a wizard, a cleric, and and artificer. I like them all. I voted cleric because I believe that gives the widest range of things to do in any given situation. Choices are fun. Walk up, swing sword is boring.

I have a bugbear fighter with a glaive, polearm master, sentinel, and protection. Whenever something comes within 15 feet, I get an opportunity attack. Now tell me that isn't fun.
Cleric is my go-to class. Granted, any class can be fun if you're willing to put the effort into role playing a fully dimensional character rather than just crunching a stat block of numbers. I really love the RP element of the game. But I've never been the type to play the extroverted "Face" of the party. I like being the support person. I like helping every other character be a little better and last a little longer, and that's what the cleric does. Sure, other classes can heal, but no one heals like a healer.
There's just something comforting about walking into a boss fight knowing that you've got a mean SOB wrapped in plate armor standing right next you commanding the powers of life and death.
Just my 2 c.p.

Tayn of Darkwood. Lvl 10 human Life Cleric of Lathander. Retired.
Ikram Sahir ibn Malik al-Sayyid Ra'ad, Second Son of the House of Ra'ad, Defender of the Burning Sands. Lvl 9 Brass Dragonborn Sorcerer + Greater Fire Elemental Devil.
Viktor Gavriil. Lvl 20 White Dragonborn Grave Cleric, of Kurgan the God of Death.
Bard, they're super fun, customizable and versatile and I love having a lot of skills. Swords Bard is an absolute joy.
Warlocks are also a joy especially if you have a good DM who has the patron interact with you a lot. I know Hexblade is meme-y at this point as a multiclass, but I'm playing a single class one and it's fun. I love putting on Armor of Agathys and getting into melee and just daring anything to attack me.
Rogues also because skills, and it's always super fun when you crit on a sneak attack and get to roll a bunch of d6s.
According to all known laws of aviation, there is no way a bee should be able to fly. Its wings are too small to get its fat little body off the ground. The bee, of course, flies anyway because bees don't care what humans think is impossible.

Canto alla vita
alla sua bellezza
ad ogni sua ferita
ogni sua carezza!
I sing to life and to its tragic beauty
To pain and to strife, but all that dances through me
The rise and the fall, I've lived through it all!
I like dual classing ranger and bard. They compliment eachother nicely.

Im partial to my barbarian and ranger, but to be honest druids are some of the most fun you can have outside of a bedroom...while clothed.
A variety of game mechanics. All types of flavoring for RP. Something about the first time you turn into a giant toad and swollow an enemy.

Wizards, warlocks, blood hunters, artificers, and rangers (gloom stalkers in particular) are my favorites, in that order.
Paladins are fun mechanically but being an alignment character just sucks in my opinion.
Druids. Have. Issues. With. Unbalanced. Subclasses.
Clerics, again are alignment bound.
Bards are just not my thing.
Fighters (except for battle masters and echo knights) are too vanilla.
Monks lack good subclasses other than Drunken Masters.
Sorcerers are (this is my opinion) weaker wizards.
Barbarians are nice but role-playing them is not fun for me.
Rogues are cool but suffer from a chronic lack of Extra Attack. Hence their multiclassiness, which I also dislike.

Oof, I love Tarrasques good catch! I dislike the ranger because I’d honestly prefer to play a ranged fighter than a ranger.

I was thinking more about barbarians than fighters ;)
I am considering taking three levels of echo knight on my artificer, + GWM, for lots of shenanigans.

Guys, Druid is clearly the best class in the game
I vote Artificer, but it's not available. Second choice is Wizard.
Please check out my homebrew, I would appreciate feedback:
Spells, Monsters, Subclasses, Races, Arcknight Class, Occultist Class, World, Enigmatic Esoterica forms
Yeah, I went with phb available classes :/
