So I am working through adding some of my own creations to the community but I cant seem to figure out;
A) How to mark a modifier to need attunement and,
B) How to make weapons and armor have the +1, 2, or 3 bonuses so that is properly displayed on the character sheets, and doesn't affect every weapon that character uses.
Would someone be so kind to enlighten me on these processes.
the best way to do this is to start by using an existing magical weapon or armour as the template - you can then see the modifier that is used to accomplish this.

Hi Stormknight,
I am confused by the "Requires Attunement" true or false qualifier on homebrew items. I have used existing items that have it set to true, and then when I edit them it switches to false. I then see no way to change it?
I am trying to create an item where you get a bonus if you are unattuned, and then a better bonus if you attune but it doesn't seem possible using the tools.

i think if your magic item need attunement and is not attuned that mean you dont have any magical bonus at all in the rules then you need to attune to get them effective... so i guess giving bonus if not attuned would be hard to set since the coding is probably not made to let you do it.
i'm trying myself to create a set of 3 items with attunement that would give some extra bonus when you get more then one of them attuned but i cant find a way to do it ... i can only get them pile up one over the other but if i want to give a spell or feats once the 3 are attuned i cant find a way to do it

It isn't against the RAW I don't think. And I am specifically trying to create a weapon from Horde of the Dragon Queen with that effect so I imagine they had to it with the system they have provided us. (I saw somewhere a mod or dev say this wad the exact system they used for everything).
But so far when I create a weapon which requires attunement it still says false in that "requires attunement" field.

Hey Stormknight,
Thanks for the heads up! As soon as i read it I had one of those "why didn't I think of that?" moments.
Keep up the good works sir!
