Cool. Seems they nerfed some of the Wild Magic barbarian's Wild Surges, but also made them useable throughout the rage. And also made the exploding flumphs something you can aim.

"Canon" is what's factual to D&D lore. "Cannon" is what you're going to be shot with if you keep getting the word wrong.
Upon reading through Genie Patron, I'm actually kind of excited to toy with the idea of a Genielock Genasi whose patron *is* their Genie parent, lol. Cliche, perhaps, but I still think it'd be hilarious.

Not so cliche, I think. Not sure it is a theme that has been done much if at all in literature.
Eh, but we do have constant "I'm a tiefling fiend warlock and my patron is my great great great great grandma/grandpa" characters a lot. ...or at least, I see them a lot.

Barbarian's 6th level -- Bolster Magic -- has you rolling D3's? That's a first in 5e.... Most people are gonna have to roll a D6 and divide the result, since D3's are pretty rare...

NO Dad! I don't want to be ruler the universe. I WANT to be an adventurer.

Surprised it's not a D4.
Same here - I thought I'd woken up too early and was reading it wrong. Not even the Dice Roller on DnDBeyond has the capacity to roll a d3, though I expect that to change once Tasha's releases.

nah, just roll a d6. 1-2=1, 3-4=2, 5-6=3. or divide the result and round up.

Mostly just thrilled that the Genie warlock seems to be, somehow, untouched. Was clenching cheeks waiting for the brutal nerfs that're usually inevitable for any piece of UA content, trying to keep vague backup plans for basically building a new character completely under the art I had done for my Genie warlock. I'm legit kinda shocked they didn't mess with it at all, or at least not in any way I can see. That just doesn't happen with UA.

Why not just roll a d4, reroll on 4?
yeah thats what our group does.

I am super excited to see that it is still intact. I was sure that it would end up just being a hollow shell of what we saw in the UA. Easily one of my favorite subclasses from the past year's worth of play testing.
I hope we see some Feats and Spells over the course of the next few days as well though.

Why not just roll a d4, reroll on 4?
Because that can get aggravating if the derpy caltrop continues to roll a 4. A d3 is easy, as has been pointed out, and only ever needs rolling once. d4s are a problem, and never roll properly anyways.

It doesn't sound too hot to me.
"Not all those who wander are lost"
I do it by rolling a d6 and taking top or bottom, whichever is 1-3. So 1 & 6 = 1, 2 & 5 = 2, and 3 & 4 = 3.

She/Her Player and Dungeon Master
The barbarian looks really cool. Not sure about that d3 though. These dice exist, but they don't look fair.
I'm not really interested in the Genie Warlock. The flavour just doesn't do anything for me.
A fool pulls the leaves. A brute chops the trunk. A sage digs the roots.
