It’s super annoying to have test characters pushing rolls into the campaign for every player. On/off would work while you work out more granular controls and whispered rolls.
This is immersion breaking when using the character sheet to roll, I have no interest in knowing my parties outcome before my DM tells the consequences of for example bad rolls. To not give an option to disable/enable this is in my opinion - not a good design.
Can someone point me in the direction to escalate this as a feature request if there is such a forum?
I would love to have both the option to disable the log as a player (insofar as at least I'm not seeing notifications, etc. even if other players are) AND the ability for the DM to turn them off at the campaign level as well (none of the players in my current campaigns use/want it, and it can be distracting/problematic).
Also, I realize that things get built in parallel, but given limited resources at DDB I'd love for them to focus more on getting the Encounter Builder and Combat Tracker tools finished and out of Beta and Alpha respectively.
I don't want to be able to disable the game log. I like it. As a DM if I want to keep something secret, I do it all in my head. That's the only way to keep a secret, and as the ultimate arbitrator for the game, that makes perfect sense. As a player, I like to see the DM's rolls. That way I know they are being fair.

With roll targeting you get the best of both worlds; set targeting to Self and only you see the rolls. Set it to Everyone and, well, everyone can see them.
+1 to be able clear the game log.
I also like to roll testing new features on a character and the log tends to get messy.

Any news for this topic to turn off the game log?

+1 for the ability to clear the game log or better manage types of rolls for sessions, practice rolls or building encounters and such.

Okay that's fine, you don't have to disable it but for the rest of us who don't want it the ability to disable it with a toggle would be useful.
Not sure if you have found the option by now but you can choose to send the die role to: Everyone (default), self or DM.
Open the game log in your character sheet and at the top of the game log you can make that selection.
Sadly, there is still no option to clear the log.
** edit...... I should have read page 2... someone already mentioned this....
