It’s a pleasure to have your reading about our project, and you can call me Snow!
My love for roleplaying began long before I even knew what it was. As a child, I would play with action figures, creating epic scenes and battle in my imagination. Captain Yager for example always triumphed over the nefarious Doctor Zakrenstein, this passion only grew stronger when i discovered the wonderful world of tabletop RPGs, particularly the amazing AD&D, edition after edition, I delved deeper into this realm until i found my favorite one, D&D 5e.
Since 2015, D&D 5e has held a special place in my heart. Its well-crafted mechanics and versatility make it a joy to DM. I love creating captivating stories and bringing out the best in my players. It has become a running joke among my friends that whenever we hang out, they always ask me to run a quick game for them. Whether it’s a dark horror tale or an epic adventure, it’s always thrilling to share my imaginative worlds with them, not matter where we are.
During the challenging times of the pandemic, I dove deeper into RPGs as a way to cope and connect with others. I dedicated myself to a Westmarchers project, carefully balancing the gaming experience of D&D 5e for the players to the point that sometimes they call me Personal Sage Advice. I honed my skills as a versatile DM, crafting tables inspired by school dramas as well as intense and harrowing encounters filled with horror, tension, and epic combats. And now, here i am, sharing my passion and expertise with you o/ Discord: goliath#7378

This game is the best one I ever played so my passion for it pours through it in every play style imaginable, whether be facing terrible foes or just having wholesome moments in the story. I'll be there with you every step of this journey. I’m fascinated by lore and worldbuilding that is why you see that all of my games happen in homebrew worlds, I feel that the opportunity to explore uncharted lands it’s part of the appeal of figuring things out by yourself
In the world of Agon heroes are the real celebrities, a life of adventure and gold is the desire of many but few actually have the guts to face the perils of the unknown. By joining this campaign you will be one of many starting heroes tha look forward to forging their legend, and you will be affiliated to the Heroic Guild of Svartia, you can expect a general Dark fantasy tone with underlying themes of horror, mystery, drama, suspense and if you climb high enough on the guild's rank system even stories of epic and dark proportions.
The adventure will develop in an episodic manner, with each session having a beginning, middle and end. The typical session will start with the heroes picking a contract and pursuing it's goal, the contract itself will give information on the difficulty and lethality of the quest, so you'll have an active say on how dangerous you wish your session to be. I feel obligated to stress that this episodic format will not forbid the existence of quests that last for more than one session, we will pursue the story until its ending, no matter how many sessions it takes.

What force compels you to venture into such a place? Duty? Knowledge? Revenge? Or is it simply the hand of fate guiding your path? Brace yourself, for your journey will lead you into the heart of darkness, to a land that feasts upon the souls of its inhabitants. Though you may cling to your weapons and faith, you will find yourself far removed from the protective gaze of your gods. Lost within the shrouded mist, where only the dead dare tread. Should you dare to seek the accursed halls that beckon, remember this: you cannot command the devil, for he is ancient, he is the very essence of the land, and you, mere trespassers.
As you set foot upon the haunted soil of Barovia, amidst raging storm clouds, the formidable vampire Count Strahd von Zarovich casts an imposing figure, his silhouette etched against the ancient walls of Castle Ravenloft. Thunder roars, echoing through the castle's spires, while the wind's chilling howl intensifies. His gaze falls upon the village of Barovia below, and there, within his keen sight, you all have entered his domain. The ruler of Barovia has opened the doors of his realm, extending an invitation to you, mere mortals, to tread upon his land.

Yoooo, glad to see you've finally gotten yourselves out there! I'm having a lot of fun playing Curse of Strahd with Snow. It's obvious he's put a lot of effort into building the setting (another player says it's quite different from ordinary CoS) and the NPCs. Each NPC, even in combat, properly has their own objective that they play to as opposed to taking the optimal move in combat to combat us. New or Old player, experienced with CoS or not: if you're looking for an incredibly immersive world and happy working WITH the other players and GM to create an outstanding story, I highly recommend!
Hi, I am a player in two of the SG Project campaigns just wanted to say that its been a very fun ride the dms are very polite, professional, and hard working. They do there best to tell a cohesive story that involves all players equally and still let you have a ton of fun while doing it.
If your looking for a long running and fun campaign then this is definitely the place to be.
Don't believe this guy. He'll try to trick you into drinking Wolf urine. :D
In truth though (though that did happen), I'm a player in the Monday Svartia campaign. There's a lot of things you can say about the campaign, but I think the best recommendation I can give is that I'm still playing and still excited for every session.
Goliath's game was the first DnD game I ever joined. I have since joined a couple other tables, but none of them ever stuck. Each had their individual issues, but the largest problem was simply none could meet the bar set by Goliath and his game.
Everyone gets different things from the game, that's part of the beauty of TTRPG's, but my personal opinion is you get the most if you're looking for quality Roleplaying potential and want to engage with your character and the world.
It really is a great campaign for both newcomers and veterans (our table has both).
Hi Beth. glad to see you took interest in our campaigns, for us ascertain what game would be best for you it all depends on what you're seeking.
For instance if you want a campaign with more darker themes I would advise checking The Heroic Guild of Svartia, altough the campaign from Monday and Thursday have a couple of differences, the monday one takes a greater focus in interacting with the world and the political implications of the scenario, for instace they are knee-deep now into the ranks of a criminal organization trying to make a name for themselves as a way to protect themselves from greater foes. The Thursday takes a more narrowed focus on the characters backstories and how the characters are changing with each new chapter of the story.
The Call of Netherdeep is a more traditional D&D experience in the sense that is an official campaign, therefore has a more linear experience when it comes to it's storytelling, but this table has a lot of good roleplay mixed with challengeing combat as well.
And if you're seeking something more light-hearted you should check out The Heroic Guild of Dalbora, which is high fantasy game based on the heroic antics of our guild-affiliated adventurers and their pet monkey Luigi.
If you wish to talk more in depth about any of the campaigns you could send a pm to us on discord either to goliath#7378 or Snow#0509.
Thank you again for reaching out, hope you come to play with us soon!
if anyone out there is one the fence about looking into this, let me tell you to take the chance and DO IT!!
I've been playing at Goliath's table since October of last year at level 1 and last night we just hit level 9. We are on our second arc in our campaign and it has been a heck of a ride! Goliath balances combat and RP and creates a really fun environment to be a part of. He never makes you feel odd about reaching out to him and has no problem allowing players freedom to try different things with their characters as long as they make sense.
This was my first time attempting to play through Discord and Roll20 and I am so glad I took the chance. This has been ana amazing game so far and can't wait to see where Goliath takes us next!
Hello and well met! My name is Mark/Vargus. I am one of the players in the Monday/Heroic Guild of Svartia game with Goliath as our DM. As a player and fellow DM of this amazing system for many decades, i can easily say without a doubt that this man is certainly one of the best DM's ive ever had the honor of playing with. Period. This is always a highlight of our week because the table is open, fun, exciting ,dangerous and its filled with other like minded players. Goliath, as a Dm has a very good grasp on what that means. Its easily the best money I spend on any form of entertainment in indulge in.
If your on the fence about this, don't be, do it! I swear you wont regret it.
Thnak you all for those amazing testimonies, you fill you GM heart with joy! I will keep working on bringing the most amazing and chaotic session that this storytelling afficionado can concoct!
Hi guys, unfortunately the THURSDAY - Heroic Guild of Svartia game is down to only two players due to a unforeseen dropout of players without any explanation, so in the attempt to bring more players we are offering a free tryout for the game this THURSDAY 8PM EST - 6/15. And to those who like the game and wish to still a special offer: 1 MONTH of sessions for 20$.
If you have a free thursday and wish to join Kelatrix and Rayna come check it out!
The Underground, everyone is born and dies in the underground.
The flickering light of the torch, the cold blue light of bioluminescent fungus, the faint red light of glowing crystal stones, the shimmering metal on my forge, and the dazzling light of the Arcane Sunstone placed on the ceiling of the largest vault in their native cavern (the vault where vegetables and torch trees grow). What we do not know, what we have never seen, is the light of the true Sun, from which the Sunstones supposedly received their name. If anyone living now has seen this light, you have not heard of it. The Sun is a legend, part of ancient history that speaks of people who lived above the rock, in a place called the surface, under a thing called the sky. That was before things changed and the surface vanished, or was destroyed, or... simply became uninhabitable. I truly do not know why your ancestors left the surface; historians have lost track of records dating back to that time and can only offer speculation. If anyone living now knows the reason... you have not heard of them either. - Harry, The Smith
The world underwent some kind of cataclysmic change. As a result of this change, whose details have been lost in the mists of history, entire kingdoms of men, elves, dwarves, and others who lived on the world's surface fled to the Underground and established new homes there. In some places, this influx of refugees drove out the local populations of Drow, Duergar, and other unpleasant natives purely by force of numbers and desperation. In other places, numbers alone were not enough, and entire armies of weak surface dwellers were massacred or enslaved by dangerous, powerful, and resilient beings seeking to displace them.
The greatest problem faced by the displaced surface populations, however, was not the natives, but the sudden shortage of food. Their numbers were so large compared to the Drow and Duergar because they were sustained by the abundance of wildlife and agriculture directly fueled by the Sun, while those living below the surface relied on less abundant sources. In times of crisis, a powerful conclave of mages stepped forward and offered their services to maintain the agricultural base of civilization and prevent mass starvation. They used their mastery of the arcane to create the Sunstones: magical constructs that emit light comparable to the sun. Throughout the known world, these stones were placed in the largest open caverns that could be found and protected, and large shipments of soil were brought from the surface to convert these vaults into farms. The largest Sunstones, in the largest caverns, produce enough food to sustain the great city-states; smaller and less powerful Sunstones were placed in smaller caves to support towns and villages.
Despite this measure, many of the refugee population that arrived still faced hunger in the years following the cataclysm; their numbers were great, and the amount of cave space that could be converted into illuminated farmland was simply too small. Some of the mages who invented the Sunstones spent the rest of their lives traveling from refugee cave to refugee cave, creating as many as they could in any space large enough to justify it. Even so, the cataclysm was ultimately accompanied by a sharp decline in population.
Over time, surface civilizations recovered from the traumatic upheaval of the cataclysm and adapted to their new environment; however, their stable population remained small, and expansion and growth are nearly impossible (because extending the agricultural base is impossible). This resulted in a "decline" of civilization in certain ways: with a smaller population, a smaller total number of individuals pursue art, science, or knowledge of the arcane. The heights of culture and knowledge that had been achieved by the ancient surface dwellers can no longer be compared; the subterranean era was thus a "dark age." Conclaves of mages with the knowledge to create enduring and powerful constructs like the Sunstones, for example, are a thing of the past. The secrets of ancient philosophers, mages, historians, and scientists are now passed down from generation to generation by only a few scholars, or else contained in books residing in lost ruins. Or by me, Erick, The Scribe.
This loss of magical knowledge may come to be an existential crisis for the remnants of the surface-dwelling civilizations, as the ancient Sunstones have now begun, one by one, to go out... And I believe, based on my calculations, that we have only thirty-three years left. - Erick, The Scribe
Two hundred and thirty-one years ago, a coalition of four Lich necromancers invaded the world here on the surface, wiping out all civilization and sentient life. We, the survivors, fled here to the Underground and established ourselves as best we could to set up cities and outposts, using arcane light crystals designed by powerful mages to sustain and nurture our life. Sixty-six years ago, the Liches discovered remnants of civilization and have been waging war against us with their army of undead ever since. Heaven is today, at least as far as we residents know, the only remaining city of the living. We have had no news from the other cities for thirty-three years.

**Heroic Guild of Svartia Campaing Update**
We have a new additon to our Campaign#1 of Svartia on Monday at 8PM EST, the path of the totem warrior barbarian Ark Ridge will be joining us.
We're excited to see the stories we will be telling together, we still have 2 slots open on that campaign!
Good day!
Returning player after over a decade away.
Which campaigns do you recommend I join with regards to wat you are offering?
Thank you,
Beth
Snow is a fantastic dm and i truly enjoy my time in the group and discord. Come join us
Hi, I am a player in two of the SG Project campaigns just wanted to say that its been a very fun ride the dms are very polite, professional, and hard working.
Update!
Goliath GM is offering a trial run in all of it's tables until the end of june, meaning any new players gets the first session free of charge!
if anyone out there is one the fence about looking into this, let me tell you to take the chance and DO IT!!
Lost Light [Private Campaing]
