If we just got the subscriber perks, will we be able to get old ones to are they lost forever? :,(
You *unlock* every perk granted while you are subscribe, and you can use every unlocked perk, while you are subscribed.
Perks granted while you are not subscribed will not be unlocked for you; and you can’t access your unlocked perks when you end your subscription, until you subscribe again. (For backgrounds, themes and frames that usually means you cannot select those if you want to change a sheet’s appearance, but afaik it would not be removed from sheets you have set them up while subscribed- not sure about dice though.)
on the other hand, all of them are just visual stuff, some of them reused from preorder perks, so it’s not like you are missing out on necessary features -these perks were never the main point of subscriptions; the unlimited character slots and the campaign sharing are.

DId you know? The DDB marketplace has REMOVED the option for purchasing one-off subclasses, magic items, and monsters "a la carte". Now you ALWAYS have to buy the ENTIRE book instead.

Compromise where you can. Where you can't, don't. Even if everyone is telling you that something wrong is something right. Even if the whole world is telling you to move, it is your duty to plant yourself like a tree, look them in the eye, and say, "No. You move."
The (three!) new dice sets are a nice perk, but do you think the sound effects are a bit too light for "marble" dice? Makes them feel like really thin, hollow plastic which doesn't really match up with the appearance IMO. Perhaps they could be swapped to use the same sound effects as the Raw Amethyst set, or another of the "stone" dice sets?
Also, we really need the ability to set dice per character; they've given us three sets of marbled dice, each of which goes best with different characters of mine. I have dice sets for different characters IRL, digital should be the same minus having to find someplace to store all the bags and cases. 😝
Former D&D Beyond Customer of six years: With the axing of piecemeal purchasing, lack of meaningful development, and toxic moderation the site isn't worth paying for anymore. I remain a free user only until my groups are done migrating from DDB, and if necessary D&D, after which I'm done. There are better systems owned by better companies out there.
I have unsubscribed from all topics and will not reply to messages. My homebrew is now 100% unsupported.

The dice are inspired by kintsugi, the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold. As such the sound design is intended to emulate the sound the unique, delicate sound of porcelain and other types of thin pottery

Makes sense, very cool.
It would be good to see some movement on things like choosing dice for characters, though, as the poster suggested. Not everything has to be map$.

Here’s hoping then.. tbh I don’t use the benefits enough to warrant keeping my sub.
I agree.
I have 31 characters, and campaign sharing enabled in 5 campaigns. To me, the perks are the useless things. :P

Weird to use thin pottery sounds for something that isn't thin. Dice would be thick. So it should sound like thick chunks of porcelain.
I got quotes!
