Quendar looks over his shoulders to the ends of the alley and then moves closer to the wall. It is some comfort that the people of this realm prefer to go about their day under the harsh glare of the sun. For some reason they have come to distrust the dark, he thinks to himself.
Perception Check: 15
"Astrid, now that you've identified the nature of the trap," Quendar says in a whisper, "perhaps you or I would have a better chance at disarming it. This is not a case of poisoned needles."
Quendar takes out his own set of tools, similar to those Anthix has been using. For a second they slip in his hands but he catches them before they hit the ground. But he takes a deep breath again, hoping even the delicate tools bumping into each other aren't heard by others.

This is taking too long...
When she thinks the task is complete, she slinks into the shadow of the wall, searching for any signs of activity as she goes, any sign they have been discovered again.
Together Astrid and Quendar are sure how to disarm the trap, Anthix failed again.
OOC: Any other person with thieves tools proficiency can try FYI.
Grace scowls at Anthix rudeness and steps away still babbling under the breath.
Looking both left and right Quendar can see people are walking past both ends of the alley but the party is shrouded in enough darkness that they are easily hidden in the shadows cast by the buildings in front and behind. Grace however stands out for the halfling has found the only shard of light coming from a window above as if the halfling is scared of the shadows! She looks frighten and slightly annoyed.

Astrid disarms the trap and Anthix steps up again unlocking it. The door swings open inside of the room. There is no light inside and those with dark vision can make out various gray shades of furniture and other objects ahead of them. Grace stands beside Morgana nervously awaiting the party next move.
"Be careful," Grace whispers quietly but does not move a muscle inside.

With Quendar superior dark vision he passes onto the room and sees it's an enormous. It's half library and half laboratory. Although the fireplace and lamps aren't burning the room further on glows faintly due to a series of liquids in various vessels of different sizes and shapes. There's a set of steps that disappear out of view on the left and another door closer to the steps but on the opposite side of the room. Quendar sees bookshelves sagging with books, the faint glowing liquids litter a table that's strewn with papers.

Morgana bumps into the desk and sends papers and a stack of books crashing to the floor. She sees there's plenty of papers but the notes in looking at them seem to be in some sort of code.
