As the sun begins its descent over the horizon in Sel'eman, the ever stalwart arena shapers, constructs, and a few volunteers work tirelessly to make sure the Pitts is up and ready for the next round of contestants.
To win: 2... Aggressive Opponents - Aggressive enemies will join the battle every four rounds. Defeat your opponents before you are overwhelmed.
The conditions: 2... Night - The battle field is lit with Torches and [spell]Dancing Lights[/item] but darkness still looms. Checks relying in sight will suffer disadvantage even with Darkvision.
The Map: 10.... The Pits - A fairly typical fighting ring in a hole in the ground. Its a short 10 foot drop into the pit, and the edges are sloped and course. They would be easy to climb. In the bottom of the pit, the earth is turned up from fighting, yet tufts of grass sprout up here and there, as though it recently had grass all throughout. On either side of the pit is a set of steps. You and your opponent are on opposite ends with wooden walls for cover.

Armed with a new repertoire of spells, Chronolo - along with his mended, mechanical, drone-like owl - confidently strides into the nighttime arena. Maroon cowl fluttering faintly over silver-chrome 'skin', the Warforged casts an analyzing, dispassionate glance over the arena before muttering its usual pre-combat spell, drawing on the power of lost timelines to ward himself from harm!

As this match is for those that reached the level 5 bracket already, you cannot participate or skip levels in order to do so. I will announce when the level 3 bracket is up, and would thank you kindly for your continued patience. :) On another note though, I do apologize for overlooking this. "Joining our ever growing flock of feathered aerial experts is one archer looking to prove himself, Bzeczumi the Bold!" An eager looking Aaracokra bearing enchanting looking bracers and doing some last minute shuffling of shield and bow in preparation.

Somewhat perplexed why the aarakocran archer made his location presently known - as well as showed off some of his capabilities, Chronolo tentatively wanders forth and uses the available cover behind C8 to stage an approach.

The sound of an incantation yet giving away some preparedness in case there was more to the act. And with such mind as well, the drone is sent up to look around for any sly shenanigans going on, before ducking back behind the wall in the staging area.
With that, the sound of gears beginning to grind to life can be heard echoing to life from within the walls of the coliseum...

Recognizing Bzeczumi has full intentions to skirmish Chronolo with superior ranged options and mobility, Chronolo strides forwards - a robotic incantation rings through the arena as blue energy thrums between the integrated plates of Chronolo’s chrome plating.
Movement - towards B3. Action - Chronolo extends its hand as temporal energy crackles around a gemstone lodged in the center of its palm. If Bzeczumi becomes visible from Chronolo’s current position, the befuddling sound of a ticking clock rings through Bzeczumi’s mind as the sense of his limited mortality is invoked. DC 16 Intelligence saving throw for 9 Psychic damage and a 2 on his next saving throw it makes before the end of Chronolo’s next turn.
Chronolo’s owl, for its part, continues to weave through the nighttime sky in search of Bzeczumi’s location only to return to its current position. If necessary, here’s another Perception roll: 17
Chronolo's advances further to the south, and can be again uttering an incantation for a spell likely meant for his opponent. Their drone is sent up again to scan as much as they can from the skies. Though they see no sign of Bzeczumi, they can hear him will enough, but detect no efforts to hide or act in secret.

Action - Chronolo extends its hand as temporal energy crackles around a gemstone lodged in the center of its palm. If Bzeczumi becomes visible from Chronolo’s current position, the befuddling sound of a ticking clock rings through Bzeczumi’s mind as the sense of his limited mortality is invoked. DC 16 Intelligence saving throw for 9 Psychic damage and a 2 on his next saving throw it makes before the end of Chronolo’s next turn.
Chronolo’s owl, for its part, continues to weave through the nighttime sky in search of Bzeczumi’s location only to return to its current position. If necessary, here’s another Perception roll: 17
Chronolo's advances further to the south, and can be again uttering an incantation for a spell likely meant for his opponent. Their drone is sent up again to scan as much as they can from the skies. Though they see no sign of Bzeczumi, they can hear him will enough, but detect no efforts to hide or act in secret.
