Xeno leaps to one side and position his shield between himself and the lightning bolt, clicking some button behind it make it leak some weird resin. "Oi, you confounded green lad! I'm not some frog you to fry! Get back here."Xeno ran as close as he could to where he last saw Swigg, ready another spell. He also had Kenny fire blindly fire past the hedge the goblin last disappeared behind.
Ma: Over to N2. Ac: Ready to Cast Bring Da Noise. Wisdom 14. Ba: Command Kenny to fire at P3. Attack: 9 Damage: 8 Force. (If not there still, assume its a wasted shot.)

The bass drops and he knows it could rupture his ears but it sounds really good. Swigg nods in approval. Then in perfect rhythm with Xeno's beat Swigg begins to add a few layers of notes that rise higher and higher creating a rather hot track between the two of them.
Swigg casts Heat Metal27 on Xeno's breastplate, picks up his shortbow at N4, and runs through the hedge at O6. Le Poof!26

That right there. It just if you ready a spell that requires a spellslot, you have to drop concentration on that spell to use another reaction, losing that original spell/slot.
Secondly, I'm not wearing any visible metal at the moment, so you have no target for Heat Metal. Which is why my AC is 20[Mage Armor + Dex(2) + Enhanced Defense Infusion on Shield + Simic Hybrid Carapace + Cloak of Protection] instead of the usual 22.

Small addendum for me too. I kept teleporting Kenny around by accident when moving him. Because with only 15ft, it can't move all that far so quickly.
It should be at the top of the wall at E2.
Xeno just narrowly avoids most of the second lightning bolt. But with that zap, the thin veil of false life finally pops. He races after and does some weaving around to see behind the hedge. From there, Swigg would either have to resist a bad joke about cocunuts and limes, or a now concerned Xeno would take his chances air bursting a spell and magnifying gravity within it.
Ma: Move to P7. Ac: Cast Tasha's Hideous Laughter if Swigg hiding behind hedge at O6. Wis 14 or become prone and incapacitated. or Ac: Cast Magnify Gravity if not able to see Swigg behind hedge at O6. Choosing a point just above northern hedges and affecting [O/P, 10/9]. Con 14. Save for 1/2 damage of 9 Force and avoid moving at 1/2 speed for a turn. Ba: Command Kenny to move to H2.
Xeno absorbs another bolt, but the damage was beginning to stack up. Realizing he couldn't keep playing to Swigg's tempo, the markings on his carapace glowed blue and granted a weightlessness that would propel him across the battle. He barks out an order for Kenny to take cover as well.
Ac: Activate Adjust Density on self, increasing speed by 10ft. Ma: Move to M1. Ba: Command Kenny to move behind the wall to H1.

Xeno scrabbles one way to the noise, but is soon scrabbling another way while drinking a restorative tonic and command Kenny to blindfire past a hedge.
Ac: Cast Cure Wounds on self and restore 15 hp. Ma: Move to H1. Ba: Command Kenny to blindfire at H13, behind the hedge. Attack: 9 Damage: 11 Force. If not at H13, ignore roll.
When that last shot misses one way or another, Xeno has an epiphany that leaves him cackling and climbing up the nearby wall. "Hey! Green Lad! I'm outta juice, or just about at this point. So, uh, let's call it your win, eh? Hahah. Don't have anything for goblin ingenuity in the end. At least without a means to throw a wrench in."
He's being legit. Can't fight rogue or rogue lite without big AoEs or something to lure them out. Neither of which I have. Hah!
Sorry he can't put up more of a fight.

So, Swigg, or Xeno or...what was the others name?...she must do better to learn names in the future. They might see a small black cats awkwardly stalking them.

"Though until then, I will try to make sure no rapscallions mess with our seat. Although Genny-uh will be quite the tough customer o' quite the tough one indeed. I will have to cook up something extra special for that one, I think." He grins.

As Nara arrives at the Library, to her surprise, its not a ruin at all. Even the ground in a rough circle around the perimeter of the building is untouched. Something that would be noticed if her perception was any at all decent. What she does notice is Belle the librarian standing in front of a large wooden table filled with clean and sharp tools. As Nara approaches, Belle's eyes light up as she recognizes a familiar face. Belle is wearing a butchers smock with her sleeves rolled up. You can tell she has been putting on weight and its looking pretty damn good.
"Nara! How ya doing Girl? I see you don't disappoint. I'm also grateful that you showed up early. Do you mind helping me break that kill down for supper?"

Backstory: Zeekrik was found abandoned by a group of slavers transporting a group of gladiators to a new arena, who they brought with to train as a new gladiator for their boss, Boss Ironhands, who no one knew the real name of, or what he looked like, as he wore a full suit of plate armor whenever he was in public. After a few tough years in the ring, Zeekrik thought enough was enough, and he flew up to the boss's open-air box, slew him, and took his gauntlets and weapons. He started traveling the world after that happened.
