"Well, as a gentleman I will accept your concession. As as goblin I must go WHOO HOO! Take that!"
Xeno hears the shuffling of tiny feet and grunting but after some time.
"Ok, ok. Xeno, I can no longer say we have beef between us. I am satisfied. I must admit your victory was just as sound and I was being a sore loser. I really wanted to see how I matched up against The Champ once I got mah boots. At this moment I see no reason why we cant be friends and a formidable team if we have the choice. What say you?"
"Frieeeeeends?"Xeno scrambled the rest of the way over the wall, and just let himself fall flat on his face on the other side. He gets up a second later grinning from ear to ear and plainly rushes over to try and shake Swigg's hand. "Naturally, my boy, naturally! Between your wiles and my smiles we will crush the competition! Ain't that right Kenny, you useless bastard."The half-wooden based turret sags forward, and made it hard to say just which point it was acknowledging if any.
"Though until then, I will try to make sure no rapscallions mess with our seat. Although Genny-uh will be quite the tough customer o' quite the tough one indeed. I will have to cook up something extra special for that one, I think." He grins.

As Nara arrives at the Library, to her surprise, its not a ruin at all. Even the ground in a rough circle around the perimeter of the building is untouched. Something that would be noticed if her perception was any at all decent. What she does notice is Belle the librarian standing in front of a large wooden table filled with clean and sharp tools. As Nara approaches, Belle's eyes light up as she recognizes a familiar face. Belle is wearing a butchers smock with her sleeves rolled up. You can tell she has been putting on weight and its looking pretty damn good.
"Nara! How ya doing Girl? I see you don't disappoint. I'm also grateful that you showed up early. Do you mind helping me break that kill down for supper?"
(Skill challenge time! Roll three skills you think might be helpful in preparing deer for supper...or finding a way to weasel out)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Nara flings the deer onto the table
"I rarely do," she grins. "I'm doin alright...decided to learn some more about empire greatsword techniques, and I hate to say it but it's paying off pretty well. You look good, Belle...what have you been doing to make those calves and quads so thick?"
Nara, with Belle's help, starts skinning and quartering the deer
Survival: 20
Sleight of Hand: 15
Performance: 18
Nara wipes her brow. The deer is in pieces: haunches, loins, backstraps, all are in meaty piles on the table.
Backstory: Zeekrik was found abandoned by a group of slavers transporting a group of gladiators to a new arena, who they brought with to train as a new gladiator for their boss, Boss Ironhands, who no one knew the real name of, or what he looked like, as he wore a full suit of plate armor whenever he was in public. After a few tough years in the ring, Zeekrik thought enough was enough, and he flew up to the boss's open-air box, slew him, and took his gauntlets and weapons. He started traveling the world after that happened.
Belle smiles with blood splattered cheeks. "Well damn."Belle takes a look at her calves, "Oh these? I've just hit the final stages of my training. Cmon inside. I'll start cooking. You relax somewhere."
As Belle heads into the kitchen she throws three marbles out of her pocket and from them sprout an Earth, Wind, and Fire Elemental. The powerful creatures stand still for an intimidating moment before they reveal their instruments and start singing about a month you've never heard of.
Posting 1: Hello all weathered and weary travelers. I thank you for your interest in our humble academy and welcome you to stay and learn all you can!
This though comes at a cost, as many things do, and that is sustainability. I know not what arrangement former owners had for stocking provisions. But since the calamity I doubt those deals or routes still stand. With this in mind I would ask that any who're brave enough venture out into the surrounding wilderness and hunt whatever provisions they can find. Coin will be paid for any donated to the Academy. Or you may keep your spoils for yourself.
The going rates are as follows: Small creatures will trade for 10 gp Medium creatures will trade for 40 gp Large creatures will trade for 120 gp Berries, Roots, and other Medicinal Herbs will trade for 25 gp a pound
It is not advised to go beyond any beast larger than an average beast of burden as such creatures are normally more of a hassle than they'll be worth.
(Does anyone know if this is like Roondra's Magical Mystery Tour in that it's a once a rl day thing? Do we need to make Survival or perception checks? Or is that we just say we do it, and its done? OR is it all just up to the players?)

A tall human woman stands at the edge of the once proud city of Sel'eman, though now it is a far cry from the stories that drew her here. A long matted braid of brunette hair stretches from her head to the middle of her back. Though physically calm and composed, dirt and clay caked along her arms and legs and the tattered clothes that cover her body betray her wild nature. In her hand she carries a spear with a long wooden haft to the end of which is affixed a stone blade, stained red with dried blood, and lashed into place with taunt leather strips. The woman skulks through the streets around the town, introducing herself to the city's various arena-masters as Ka Spearslinger, and looking to get into the next fight for newcomers.
