"Well... If you promise not to ruin her.. You owe me if you do that.." Jarmon lets the temptation get the better of him and hands Mr. Regald his crossbow.

Allorah laughs, "Tarvyn was a bit eccentric in his university days...." She shifts her weight to the other leg, "I can't imagine anyone would want to harm the island or anyone on it. We have all spent so much time and money on the project, why destroy something you helped to build?" She pauses for a moment in contemplation, "This is an old island, and there were residents long before our arrival, perhaps they have buried secrets that even I don't understand..."
You get the idea that she is not giving you the whole truth.
"Eccentric Tarvyn, you don't say!", Shaede remarks sarcastically. "Anyone who moves to a deserted island for this, could definitely be considered eccentric. Did he get into any trouble at university or anything like that?" Shaede continues to help clean up the breakfast. "Also, you mentioned there were residents before. Where on the island was there settlement, and what sort of residents were they?"
Thadeous takes your crossbow, a d takes it to his workbench. After spending a few moments carving a face up coin emblem on the handle he returns it to you, "Good luck out there" he says as he turns away. You feel a magical energy flowing through your weapon, an energy that was not there moments before.
Gwyth
He looks at you for a moment before replying, "Tymora is an old god, a god of Fortune and luck. I try to appease her often, so that she may look favorably on my family back home. I'm not there to look after them, so I hope she might."
Shaede
"Well, they say that the former residents were a very wealthy couple. Strange though, artifact hunters. They had perished long before we arrived though." She sits at the table, "He never got in trouble, really, he was just emphatic, and passionate. The elders didn't think too fondly of his methods."
"There's nothing more valuable than family... Tell me about yours Thadeous?"

"Thank you, Thadeous. Excellent carving, but i sense something more about it. Does it have any magical effect? Does it bring me luck in any way, since Tymora is a god of luck?" Jarmon studies the crossbow, smiling slightly.

"Sad to hear that a couple was here last and they passed away. Did they leave anything behind to tell you their background and anything about what artifacts they had uncovered? And what about Tarvyn's....methods? Certainly people tend to look badly upon change or innovation. How was he pushing the boundaries that the elders established?"
"Well, thank you" He gives the carpenter a quick handshake in thanks and walks over to the dwarf. Jarmon leans over to Brom and whispers. "I don´t know about you but i have a feeling this one isn´t all that bad. Should we just leave him be and investigate the beast master until further information proves otherwise?"

Brom notices the carving on the handle of the bow and upon hearing Jarmon mention the coin carving and the energy asks:
"So the bow has luck now that ye carved the coin in the handle. Does the cabinet have any magic since all these are carved in?" Brom adds jokingly but suspiciously: "Is the cabinet now a gateway to somewhere?" Brom lets out a genuine chuckle.

Allorah replies, "It certainly is sad, but, this is what they wanted, so perhaps they went happily. As far as I know, the only thing left of them were the ruins of the farm house. Maybe there are records in Paolo of the original transaction." Her voice gets a little more serious now, "What you have seen from Tarvyn here, was also true then. He was always obsessed with creating things, and he is quite talented at it, even without the Summoner's Stone. You can imagine the frustration of his professors when he would summon giant spiders instead of doing his studies."
Brom
He laughs, "No, no. That's just for my peace of mind, nothing magical about it." He seems sincere.

"Yes, Tarvyn is extremely talented, and it's interesting to hear that his talents extended even to when he was younger. I guess some things are just inherent in all of our natures. For example, you seem to be very dedicated to your work and the people you care for. That is not a trait that is learned, so I commend you on that." Shaede pauses for a moment and considers Allorah's words a bit. "About this stone, did Tarvyn find that on the island, or did he bring it with him?"
Allorah thinks for a minute. "I have never seen the stone, personally. He made it in university I believe. He keeps it at the top of the mountain, if it gets too far away from his creatures they are no longer able to stay summoned permanently. Or so I understand..."
"Thank you Allorah for this chat. I know you are extremely busy, so I better leave you to it, " Shaede says as he hands her the broom that he has been using. Gleaning some more information from Allorah, he thinks that maybe she isn't to blame. Shaede attempts to catch up with the others in the carpenter's shop.
"Well, I suggest we move on. It was nice talking to you Thadeous, and once again thank you for the crossbow!" Jarmon heads out the door and waits for the others.

Once satisfied you turn to meet each other. You meet on the rear lawn between the house and the carpenter's shop. After regrouping and sharing evidence, you think that you have time to interview a couple more of the island's employees before the cover of night consumes the light of day.
"We still need to talk to the beastmaster" Jarmon scratches the scruff on his chin. "If you ask me the carpenter looked innocent, although a bit eccentric." He starts walking towards the animal pens. "You guys coming?"

Meeting up with the others, he shares the information he obtained about the maid. "She seems pretty loyal to Tarvyn, but did share that he brought this summoner's stone with him to the island. There were others on this island long before him, and she mentioned they were artifacts hunters. The kind lady also said they concentrated their efforts around the mountain, so maybe that is important. Aside from that, I don't think she is up to anything, personally. I agree, let's head over to the beastmaster."
Once you all agree on a destination you head toward the beast training ring. There you see the gnome twirling a whip in elaborate motions, and raptors responding with elegant dances and acrobatic demonstrations. You hear his squeaky voice calling out commands. The closer you get, the more comical the whole thing becomes. He sees you approaching and calls a final command as the beats return to their respective pens.
