Daveth, as you enter the room to your right, the light pouring off your shield illuminates four wolves chained to metal poles half-driven into the ground. The wolves bark, snarl and slaver at you and look half-starved, but they can't reach you without pulling the poles out of the ground because of the length of chain.
If I could get either a Perception or Investigation check from you, that would be great.

Slightly embarrassed by needing help across the stream, but grateful for the help I thank Daveth for the help, but remain near the entrance to the cave. Despite my darkvision, the “eating cave” still has me a bit spooked. After a brief session of pumping myself up, I follow Daveth into the cave, staying about 10 feet behind him, but keeping an eye out down the tunnel. Perception: 9
Daveth, at the end of the room past the wolves, you see what looks like a natural hole that's been used as a trash/refuse chute by whoever is directly above, given the sight of bones and scent of waste and decay coming from that area. If you could get past the wolves, someone might be able to shimmy up through the hole. You could also possibly get there by following the streamside path in the cave....
I turn back towards the cave entrance and whisper for Ammus, "Ammus, there are wolves up here. We can pass them or perhaps you can pacify them in some way? I assume this is the "wolfy cave" Wagg spoke of."
Daveth, as you continue forwards, you find yourself with a choice to make. The path continues ahead of you and curves off towards the right far ahead. To your left is a fairly steep escarpment stacked with rubble and debris. You could probably scramble up it with some effort, but you're not sure where it leads.
Just to clarify, where is everyone else at this point?

Ammus follows behind Daveth, then sees the wolves. "Hold back! Daveth, some light?" He crouches, slowly getting closer to the pack. "Easy now. Eschoup. We're not going to hurt you."
Daveth, you see the escarpment with rubble off to your left, the wolf cave to your immediate right, and the path ahead of you continuing on, curving into the unseeable distance. You're pretty sure that your light is illuminating the bottom of a bridge up ahead.

If Belwar intended to follow Daveth, he will have helped him across.
I will wait 'til others have had a chance to post before making the Perception Check if that's ok with you.
[ooc]We should perhaps give Kress time to post his actions? He never said he would not scout ahead. In any case:[/ooc]
Telurion follows after Daveth, holding the goblins up by the scruff of their neck so they do not drown.

Daveth, if you could make a spoliered Perception check, that would be ideal.

Daveth will say to Belwar over his shoulder, "Thank you for having my back, friend."

Thank you. I'll wait to see what the others are doing before I update you on what you see.

Not having seen sign of Uncle Gunni nor Sildar, Daveth will ignore the wolves and their lair, and continue alongside the river.

Telurion continues watching over the goblins, and waits for Ammus.
We’ll wait for Ammus and I’ll post in a couple hours.

I am close to the entrance, motioning to Ammus.

Daveth will backtrack to Ammus and provide light with his shield.

Where would you like to go?

My apologies, in post #157 Daveth had backtracked to provide light for Ammus with his shield. He is still doing that for now.
