One of the spears struck Sir Olvar in the shoulder and he staggered a little, " This is my home. You will leave!", he bellowed standing his ground and drawing his blade.
( No need for initiative. Just post your actions. The two mercenaries are behind the stone borderwall of the village about 15' from the forest edge.)

As the javelins fly from behind the wall, Thatch whispers to the others "Keep them distracted!" He ducks and weaves his way toward the gate and attempts to force it open by picking any lock, clearing the way for his companions to enter the village.

The gate has a bar rather than a lock, but with his skills he is able to hook the timber bar through the gaps and lift it enough the let it clatter to the ground.
Valor steps forward ahead of Olvar holding his shield up. If they do not have more javelins ready he'll rush forward to charge the mercenaries, if they DO have more javelins or ranged weapons he'll hold his shield up to defend the party.

Tana takes a defensive position, a gathering of noxious gas curling between her fingers at the sight of threat. She releases the spray of poison the moment one of the mercenaries enters her range as she slowly inches forward behind the group's front line.

Morseth jolted to a stop and quickly moves the injured men behind some trees. Then he pulls out his sling and hurls a rock at the mercenary, the rock sails well overhead but does provide some distraction.
"Thanks Thatch," said Argyle as he rushed in behind the walls. Spotting the two mercenaries, he raced toward the closest and flashed his blades. The man dropped the javelin he had picked up to throw in shock as Argyle cut him deeply across his abdomen, he managed to dive aside from the follow up but was in a bad way...

Hotspur hoots with derision. "Well, you just pissed away any chance you had of being allowed to leave in peace. Bad move, fellows." The man still upright peeked over the top in panic as the import of Hotspurs words and Argyles blade took hold...in panic he raised his javelin to throw at Sir Olvar....
"Give us a break will ya?!"Mizzen ran straight at the wall and kicked off a rock to launch himself over the wall, yelling as he thrust his weapon at the mercenary readying his throw, plunging the strangely shaped harpoon into the mans shoulder, the mercenary staggered but still stood...though his throw was ruined.

Tana conjures the noisome vapours and sends them hurtling towards the mercenary Mizzen had struck, the man had only time to scream " Witchcraft!" in terror before the poisonous fumes ended him.
( The enemy are defeated, one dead and one breathing but maimed. The way into the village is open. Next move?)
Hotspur looks at Olvar. "This is your domain. Do you intend to give this man a trial before you execute him, or shall we finish the task now?"
Sir Olvar looked stricken for a moment, " I would wager these men are nought but sellswords, we'll send someone out here to tend his wounds. Take their weapons with us."
" I'd rather they leave of their own accord. I have been accused of being too soft hearted in the past and perhaps I am but I'd rather see this done without unnecessary bloodshed.....well, further bloodshed."
“Do not kill Le Cloche, keep him alive, and ideally uninjured. He may be a usurper but he is my kin. Cousin does not simply kill cousin, or blood would flow across the world till the worst tyrant sat upon its throne. No, he must answer to my family, to our liege- lord Baron Aldred, and to his god and his conscience.”
Morseth gathers the 2 injured men and readies them for travel into the village. "I can takes these men to the tavern and then I can join the group in facing the usurper Le Cloche"
“There were about a dozen or so of Le Cloche’s men in the manor house when we checked last night”Thatch reminds the group “We can scout out the place again, see what changed. These two at the gate were not here last night. Or should we get Sir Olvar reunited with his lady and child first? If the villagers see you have returned, they may rise up and stand with you against Le Cloche as well.”
Hotspur shrugs at Olvar's reply. "Your mercy may pay off, and they turn their lives around and become upstanding model citizens. I think it more likely that once they recover, they again sell their swords to the next Le Clown, and more innocent folk shall suffer for your mercy. But, perhaps that is why Heaven placed you in your position, and me in mine."
At hearing Thatch's comment, the bard nods. "I recommend we get you back to your family. Let me tell the story of our victory on the hill, and the wickedness of the Usurper, and I guarantee the villagers will flock to your banner."

Morseth finds that the man struck by Tanas magics has expired but the one Argyle injured manages to struggle to his feet with assistance, "Merci monsieur, que Dieu vous bénisse."
Morseth headed to the tavern ( with whoever accompanies him), within he sees the old gate guard with a nasty black-eye being tended by the other villagers. They bristle when they see who Morseth is guiding.....

Sir Olvar looks thoughtful. “The old place was built to be defended,” he says. “My grandfather used to tell me of the time the whole village sheltered from marauding Thulanders in there for three days. No easy way in, and they have enough food in there to last a week or more.”

The companions moved back to the millhouse, and Lady Angela and Sir Olvar embraced desperately, their new baby was hale and hearty and cooed to herself in her blankets. The companions were fixed with the stares of Gayble and Mother Clay.
Mother Clay hobbled forward and placed a hand on Valors arm, " Good Lad.", then she grimaced and went back to tending the wee bairn.
Morseth gets the 2 men seated. The he looks to the old gate guard "Do you know who these men are? They are in need of rest"

" T'aint 'nowing tutha."
The other villagers came forward and offered cots to the two men and one of the older men offered to watch over the injured mercenary...though he seemed in no condition to do any harm.
Morseth looks to the villagers "I thank everyon for offering them a place of rest." Before leaving Morseth strips the mercenary of any armor or weapons and hands them to the old gate guard. "Here you may need this more than him"Morseth then heads out and rejoin the others.
Tana looks over at the baby whilst everyone is reuniting, taking note of her healthier complexion. She nods at Mother Clay as she approaches, "How is she?"
