OOC - marked off a spell slot for feather fall. Well that worked well! Good job coming up with it. Now we can excavate and search each room methodically. It may take longer but will definitely be safer and prevent reinforcements from showing up unexpectedly! I say we search the intact rooms first. As he is talking Striker slithers up and takes his normal perch upon his shoulders again.
Kessintra felt a bit of excitement making their entrance through the roof, but focuses as they get back to business. She nods at Garrick's suggestion. "A logical approach." She will approach one of the intact rooms and begin carefully excavating with her crowbar.
Athletics with advantage from crowbar: 12
Once it is clear, she will lockpick the door if necessary/there is one with Sleight of hand and thieves' tools: nat 20 +. 6
The two of you are easily able to make it to one of the doors. It's connected to a quarter circle near the front entrance. There is no lock on the door. You can hear goblins panicking inside.
Kessintra steps back from the door silently, making way for one of her more heavily armored companions to do the honors. A cornered animal is the most dangerous.
Amelia lets out a cry as the roof begins to collapse. Her scream turns into laughter as the adventurers ride the avalanche of bricks, landing in front of the entrance.
The Elf cleric pauses, waiting for the dust to settle before speaking.
“Wow! That was refreshing! Now, I’ll keep an eye on this hidden entrance in case anyone wants to come out and greet us.”
*It’s not like I don’t want to get my hands and armor dirty. But it’s better to leave the dirt and stones to the professionals*
This small room is littered with debris. The arrow slit opposite the door offers a fine field of fire over the terrace in front of the castle gates. Inside are two panicking goblins holding short bows. They drop the bows and pull out scimitars. All combatants roll initiative.
Deflect Attack. The defender imposes disadvantage on the attack roll of one creature it can see that is within 5 feet of it, provided the attack roll is against a creature other than the defender.

Zan advances on the first goblin, swing his longsword in a wide arc, 15 to hit and slashing at the creature for 10 pts of damage.
@Deconblu
Zan has Amelia's Bless, so you can add D4 Bonus to his attack roll.
It dies with the single swing, falling to the ground. The other goblin panicks and tries to hit Zan. 18 to hit for 5 slashing damage. Amelia is next.
