“I’ve not heard of these parts to be plagued by bandits but perhaps things have changed Feydon?”
Feydon looks at Eltra. "If you're implying that I'd know something about run-of-the-mill highwaymen then I've got one thing to say. **** you. I'm no bandit. If you're doubting that there's a risk, ask yourself - how cold are you? It's Midsummer, past noon - I'm sweating just looking at those robes. Now, maybe they worship Loviatar and just like to suffer, but that seems less likely than they're hiding something under those robes. Plus, just... look around. I see at least two or three places bandits could be hiding, not including the damned wagon itself... which, admittedly, does look pretty messed up, and too small to hold more than maybe two people. So maybe there aren't any in the wagon. But break it down into risk versus reward: what benefit do we get for helping them? Nothing. What do we stand to lose if it's a trap? Everything." He feigns weighing his hands as if he were a human scale, back and forth, as if saying 'which one do you think is heavier?' "But it's not up to me. I said my peace. It couldn't have been more clear that I have to do what you say. So, make a call, and lets just get it over with."
The woman is frowning now, clearly flustered. "What's wrong? Why are you just standing there??"
Bree feels conflicted, on one hand you should help those in need, on the other Feydon has a point. She tries to get a read on if the woman is really in need or if its some ruse.
Bree casts guidance on herself and does an insight check
Eltra sighs and rubs the bridge of his nose "Feydon, this will be a lot easier if you stop being....I suppose yourself....I simply meant what I asked. Have you heard in your travels that this part of the road has an increase in banditry....I agree with you that the risk is more than the reward and for one see no reason to help"

She's clearly very anxious for the group to follow her. There is definitely too much pressure coming off her. The longer you delay, the more she seems like she's getting angry. It doesn't feel right.

He sighs. "I don't know how to... be anything other than me. Everyone I've ever know has turned on me or died in the last few weeks. You'll... for-" he stops. Wrong word. He does not expect you to 'forgive' him. He doesn't even know the meaning of the word. "You'll excuse me if I assume the worst in people around me." Then he looks down at the woman for a moment, before almost whispering. "No. I've not heard of bandits in these parts. But this is only the second time I've been on this road. The first time was just the other day, as... Reyna's captive," he turns to look in the direction he saw her speeding off in at impossible speeds, as if he might still see her in the distance. "I spent most of my time at sea. The Marshes have some waterways where a longboat can easily coast through - but a pursuing galley or warship cannot. I had no reason to go this far inland."

Bree turns to the others and says
"This doesn't feel right, somethings off. I don't think we should follow her."
Seeing Bree cast something, then the look of suspicion on her face, along with the suspicious looks from the rest of the party, the woman suddenly drops the facade. Turning, she bolts towards her companions to be less exposed to your attacks before finally yelling "Get them! They're not buying it!"
Several more men come out of hiding places, at least a couple armed with bows.
I have no idea how the maps thing works - are you guys able to see anything come up? I'm trying to see if its possible to start a session there, to help everyone visualize things.
So it turns out the initiatives roll automatically - if the one that rolled was worse then the one you did, I changed them, otherwise I just let it keep the one it rolled automatically - next time I won't call out to roll initiative lol. Anyway, it's Gus's turn - click the link when you're ready
Agustus 'Non-Magical Gus' Leafash - Would you like me to include your 1-800 NUMBER PSYCHIC familiar in the battle? Lemme know. She can cast Foresight as per the Level 9 Divination spell, except with a 105% Spell Failure rate because she's a HACK.

Gus will cast sleep on the biggest cloister of them. Wisdom save DC 14
(OOC) I can't follow the link. It fails to load and asks me to retry. So how do we do this encounter?
Nevermind. it works on my phone just not my laptop.
(OOC) OK... I dont know how to use this.
Gus casts a spell involving the spreading of sand, then suddenly two bandits in the rear, nearest to each other, are lulled to sleep.
Tell me what you'd like to do, and I'll see if I can explain it, and if not, I'll do it for you
Oh, you can't get it to work on your computer? Just your phone? Weird. Anyone else having trouble with that link?
