Don’t feel like you guys need to keep up with my post frequency or anything. Just trying to keep things moving. He’s ready to join up and we can get back into the adventure when everyone’s ready.
I figured he’s used all his abilities and basically crawled into town, he’s been soloing the underdark for a while. the gnomes healed him and fed him but he still needs a long rest.
There are a buttload of them supposedly and we can’t figure out how to get rid of this earth elemental parasite called ogremach’s bane so we can bring in earth elementals the town has. They’ll get possessed by the evil dust.
I though we were going to explore some more in that northern (??) section, now that Thurnir makes 5. The spell-casters wrecked the drow statues, but there are probably other caves and areas to check out.

Can Orubis attempt to charm the animals with his channel divinity to keep them around?
if they’re gone, they’re gone, it’s okay. DC 14 Wis save otherwise
Of course I'll let you try to charm them. However, even if you succeed, you'll have to make an animal handling check to actually make them stick around.
I would roll for all 6 cave badgers and treat it as a group check. Not sure what I'll do if there's a tie, but I'll cross that bridge when I get there.
Are you sure you want to use a Channel Divinity knowing you will still have to do an Animal Handling skill check afterwards?

I do feel kind of shitty about this encounter, like it was a 'gotcha' on my part. But the encounter (picked from a list at random) was with the badgers, not the oozes. I just used the oozes as a motivation for the badgers to risk fighting your party instead of just running away like most creatures would.
I was ready to resolve the encounter with the intimidation check, having them just run past but Orubis kept going with the Channel Divinity. And Rodolfo readied his Erupting Earth spell. Resources your party used but didn't actually need.
Just be aware I don't want combat to always be the solution to every problem/encounter.
Sorry if this particular encounter feels like a 'gotcha' from your point of view.

I am not actually sure what to do now. I think we’re stuck with trying to fight through everyone to get to the pudding king. No bueno

Did you guys get beat back before trying for the “pudding king?”. It seems like a capable party for the level.

We can I suppose.

Yeah I think it might still make sense. Especially as we don't have a lot else to do.
Encounter: 9
I have a feeling Kerrec has some things for us to 'do' hehe

Citron Pumpkinfoam - Fairy Monk - Project Point: Team Longsword
Sounds like heading to that unexplored area is the plan.
Oh? I had the impression that is what was going to happen. And I want to keep the momentum going while you're all around and posting.
We can retcon anything you want to do in town, or say among yourselves.
I’m ready to go! He takes his rest in town and shows up clean and refreshed, the biggest dents have been pounded out of his shield.
Note that everyone within 10’ of thurnir gets a +3 bonus on saving throws.
I’ve imagined this feels like a blanket of safety and a warm feeling near him, with the occasional whiff of a forge. (Since it is granted by moradin).
Hope my intimidate didn’t scare everyone away from the game :) Have a good weekend all!
Kerrec usually doesn't post on weekends.
Ok got it! I post less myself.
