(Ah I apologize, I was busy making completely useless plans for a session for a RL campaign I'm DMing)
Mansion Round 4:
The orc looks at the opponents around it and swings its greataxe at (1 for Denka 2 for Silvian 1) Attack: 12 Damage: 14
Advantage attack if against Denka: 21, crit damage if against Denka 8
Silvian has no such indecision and will bring his morningstar down onto Denka's head. Attack: 24 Damage: 15
(Scratch Silvian's action, the orc takes out Denka)
Silvian gives Scarab a quick kick to wake him up
(Scarab is up)
(Double edit: Denka has mirror image active, so roll for that. If the orc's attack hits an illusion, Silvian will attack Denka, so make 2 rolls if the first one is higher than 6.
(Scarab fell unconscious at H6 not H4 and as a bard you only have level 2 spell slots which means your Armor of Agathys should have only done 10 damage not 20. Denka should still be up.)
Swigg moves to M9 and plays a lullaby only Silvian can hear Sleep36 then he will floss in the shadows Hide25
(Scarab moved to H4, where you slept him. Denka hit Silvian twice, once for 1 and the second time for 8, so she takes damage twice)
Mansion Round 5:
Swigg puts both his enemies to bed, making sure they're snoring softly before sneaking off into the darkness.
(And although I was thinking of having death be the win condition, I'm not going to have that be the case so Swigg and Denka are victorious!)
As Silvian falls, the dragon statue animates and breathes a fiery cone straight into the air. The elf on the side stands up and applauds the competitors, "Bravo! Although I didn't get to see much bloodshed, that was good enough for my evening's entertainment. Enjoy your rewards, and I hope to see you all very soon."
Swigg and Denka, you find yourselves suddenly inside a dark room while a voice whispers to you, "Here is your reward, but don't tell them that we found the back way in". You both gain 3800 xp and are nearly buried under 600 gold coins each.
Scarab wakes safe and sound in his bed, his hands clasped over his chest, holding a small flower. Scarab gains 2500 xp and is lying, very uncomfortably, on 240 gold.
Tier 1:
"Take any one item. They're well equipped." The room contains every item from Chapter 5 of the Player's Handbook weighing 70 pounds or less, armor of varying sizes, instruments, tool kits. There are also spell scrolls, every first level spell is present (as well as spell scrolls of a level for which a magic user of the characters new level would have slots for), and an encyclopedia of knowledge. Reading these books will grant you proficiency with any one of tool kit or any one language, depending which book you choose. The books are magically infused to allow easy retention, but the magic is lost once used.
Upper Tier:
The victor may choose instead, an item from a magically infused chest that summons 10 randomly selected magic items to choose from (rarity determined by level). Alternatively they may exchange a magic item for another item of their choosing of the same rarity or lower, if the administrator has the requested item in his extensive collection. "You name it, they've probably got one somewhere."
(Sure, but spells like sleep and heat metal skip the "save or die/save or suck" phase so there's really no way to stop them besides 1. having an insane con mod or not wearing metal armor, respectively, or 2. counterspell, which no one would have at level 4.)
(Also magic missile is on that list, which is why so many people are taking brooches of shielding)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
((Just for fun, let's see what my real initiative might have been: 13))
EDIT 1:((Sleep is great for low numbers of targets with low health. Outside of that context, it's basically useless. It just happens to be that that context comes up fairly often in the lower levels of the Coliseum. I'd say it's balanced overall though.))
EDIT 2: ((I'd say one thing that sleep is good at is psychology. People think it's temporary, so they don't deal with it. For example, if an ally has just been slept right next to you, you might decide to go for an attack on the paralyzed foe next to you instead of waking your ally, who happens to be built for melee, who could then attack the paralyzed foe himself (remember da/ad cancel out, so the ally wouldn't have to deal with any da from, say, Heat Metal, and could ignore Mirror Image).))
EDIT 3: ((And it's not as if I didn't make any tactical errors either. With The benefit of hindsight, I can imagine ways in which I could have delayed being slept.))
Horatio Hirschfeld - Squire imbued with fae powers, in the Coliseum of Conquest (W2/L1) DM for Reavers of Harkenwold, and sometimes The Fighting Grounds of the Coliseum
(I know Keneux, but at this level there aren’t many counters for a Paladin and Valor Bard. Even some leather armor have metal in them. And you rolled high on sleep.)
(personally, no one is using Warding Wind as a defense against Parabolus. A level 2 spell beats his insects. You just gotta think ahead....)
(@Persuasion Closing his eyes is a good way! Since you have to see them in order for the illusion to take affect. You'd just be firing at disadvantage due to being under the blinded condition.)

When you realize you're doing too much: Signature.
(I mean... sure that works RAW, but also realistically you'd have to pick a target, i.e one of the images, and then close your eyes and then swing so you should still be effected but RAW I guess not)
(@Persuasion Well, it's not like the images are encapsulating a larger area than the character itself. So, when you blindfire, you're aiming more for the general space than for an 'exact' target. Otherwise, it'd be effective even against spells in which you need to see an exact target.)

Haven’t used this account in forever. Still a big fan of crawling claws.
(It's that darn sleep spell, I should homebrew a brooch of shielding called a "brooch of caffeine")
(Or a brooch of elven kind, advantage on being charmed and can’t be put to sleep.)

Should have been an elf. I'm immune to magical sleep.
(I'm rolling my eyes at this. The sleep spell is strong and so is every other spell if used correctly. Any spell is unstoppable if used right.)

(Well, that was a very high roll on the level 2 sleep, Silvian has 35 base HP, so I didn't expect him to get slept)
(Also how would Scarab ignore mirror image?)
