(Sure, but spells like sleep and heat metal skip the "save or die/save or suck" phase so there's really no way to stop them besides 1. having an insane con mod or not wearing metal armor, respectively, or 2. counterspell, which no one would have at level 4.)
(Also magic missile is on that list, which is why so many people are taking brooches of shielding)
Yup...thats the type of spell I like to use. I'm that guy.
mirror image effects all attack rolls, even spells. Saving throws are how you get past it. Like hold person.
It also states:Each time a creature targets you with an attack during the spell's duration, roll a d20 to determine whether the attack instead targets one of your duplicates.
So even if he closed his eyes, it would only give him disadvantage if he missed a clone as it does say a creature that can see you targets you. The clones constantly shift positions with the wizard. The spell says so.
(@Feral_Robot That is what I was referring to. The saving throws, I mean. My apologies for not being clear on that before. Also, look at the link to spell. At the bottom it describes the spell only affecting targets that can see you. But otherwise, yes, you'd still be firing at disadvantage. Which there are ways around that.)
((Essentially my point is that you can close your eyes, then attack blind (Giving disadvantage), which is cancelled out by the advantage from paralyzation. Additional advantages or disadvantages don't matter at that point, so it's just a normal attack with crit damage.))
((Also, it seems like the XP is enough to boost me to level 5, so I'll see you all again in the next fight, where I'll be even more underpowered due to a lack of magic items.))
((Although since I'm advancing to an odd level on a loss, I should get a compensation prize, no?))

(As a side note, should prize tokens be based on how many times you've leveled on losses or something versus leveling to an odd level on a loss? With it working that way, if you managed to hit every odd level on a win and every even level on losses, wouldn't you still end up behind someone who advanced to odd levels on losses and even levels on wins?)

(If you lose, you end up behind, in terms of magic items and gold. The consolation prizes are intended to dampen that, not remove it.)
(I get that, and I'm not trying to say someone who keeps losing should keep up with someone who's winning. Just that 2 people who are winning and losing the same amount of games could be vastly different in terms of magical gear if one is hitting odd levels every time they level up from losing and the other is hitting even levels every time they level up from losing. At level 9, each could have gotten 4 levels from wins and 4 from losses, but one would have gotten 4 prize tokens and the other 0)
(... one would have gotten 4 prize tokens and the other 0)
(One would have 1 Tier-1 prize, 1 Tier-2 prize, 2 Tier-3 prizes, and 0 tokens. The other would have 2 Tier-1 prizes (one as consolation), 3 Tier-2 prizes (one from 2 tokens), 2 Tier-3 prizes, and a single Rare prize token. So one would have 3 tokens to the others 0.)

(@Bobo Og was already planning on learning that spell, don’t worry. Parab is one of very few opponents that actually scares me.)

(So if I say... have a level 4 barbarian, lose, and level up, I get a prize? Can I turn that into any uncommon magic item?)

Haven’t used this account in forever. Still a big fan of crawling claws.
(It functions like a useless magical item. So basically, you can turn in a token and an item of the same rarity for another item as normal.)
