Talien and Rees creep into the corridor without making a sound. But, when Alten steps through the doorway his pauldrons scrape against the stone archway causing a loud grating sound. Followed by a "tink tink tink" as of his pauldron buckles catches, snaps off, and falls to the ground. Everyone holds there breath for a second in anticipation...
From behind the door you hear a raspy voice, "Eh? Wut waz dat? Yoo hear sumtin?"
A second voice responds, "Meh. Prolly jus' a rat."
Then a third, "Yea prolly a rat.. don't ya cry Worg."
The first voice again, "I ain't cryin' Woorg... shut up n' deal tha cardz ya stoopid bastard."
You hear the sound of cards being shuffled from behind the door as the voices resume their card game and everyone silently exhales. The rest of the group is able to creep up silently into the tight corridor.
Rees looks back at the group, motioning again for them to be quiet. "Goblins," she whispers, "Playing cards, it seems. We might be able to get the drop on them."
We hear goblins coming from Room 36c on the OneNote map, correct?
Does the door open in or out? Is there any way to use the manacles, the crappy scimiatars, or anything in the environment to seal them in the room so we can go on our way?

The map you received has been accurate thus far.
The 3 goblin voices are coming from Area 36a. The door opens inwards and swings towards the wall. I don’t think the manacles, or scimitar would work. There’s a bunch of crates and barrels back in the Goblin Pantry that you could stack up, but it would require another stealth check and wouldn’t prevent the door from opening. Or you could tie rope to the door handle of this door to the handle of the door you just entered through.
The door looks like this (except the hinges would be on the other side):
Alten touches Rees, Arxius and Meepo, makes looking & listening gestures, points to the door at the western end of the hallway, makes a quiet shhh gesture and shruggs.
He points to Grom, Corkey, and Trick while making spread out gestures. He touches Talien and points to the right side of the door to the goblins. He goes to the left side of the door.

Rees will go to the western door carefully, trying to be as quiet as possible and check it for traps. She'd also like to try and listen and see if she hears anything on the other side.

You move forward towards the western door and hear a loud "snap!" followed by the sound of cord unwinding above your head. You look down in time to see a broken trip wire resting on top of your boot. You hear a "whoosh" and the sound of a bell ringing as a net falls from the ceiling and lands on top of you.
Falling Net
Mechanical trap
This trap uses a trip wire to release a net suspended from the ceiling.
The tripwire was places 3" inches off the ground 5' in front of the western door and stretched from the northern wall to the southern wall.
When the trap is triggered, the net is released, covering a 10-foot-square area. Those in the area are trapped under the net and restrained, and those that fail a DC 10 Strength saving throw are also knocked prone. A creature can use its action to make a DC 10 Strength check, freeing itself or another creature within its reach on a success. The net has AC 10 and 20 hit points. Dealing 5 slashing damage to the net (AC 10) destroys a 5-foot-square section of it, freeing any creature trapped in that section.
You are restrained by the net. Please make a Strength Saving throw [DC 10]. You are knocked prone on a failed save.

Has the map we got from the kobold chief actually matched up accurately with our experience in the Citadel?

Rees, or Arxius do you approach the western door? Please describe what you want to do.

I guess the trap triggering kills any chance for suprise attack by Talien and I as they come rushing out the door to investigate?

The weight of the net striking you from above knocks you prone.
