Dog smiles at Viviora in thanks, and tries to see what they can fit in his bag of holding that’s on the shrine list. He suggests they try it perhaps outside of Matas, and asks the group if they should summon the Traveler before or after going to Finnegan.
Llyr is similarly introduced to someone new this morning. He is greeted at his door by a satyr, one he has never met before. She bows, more serious than any satyr Llyr has ever met.
"Greetings, Ambassador," she says. "The Summer Court bids you fair morning. I am Mz. Drahe of the Violet Forest."
Llyr has only heard of the Violet Forest. It is quite deep into the Feywild from any access he knows. It is known to be a dangerous place, not just due to the whims of its residents.
"Kestra of the Summer Thorns has taken upon herself a great concern of the gods and their machinations. I was summoned to provide support as you endeavor to resolve their conflict in a manner that will leave the Feywild as unaffected as possible."
The Envoy returns the bow in a practiced manner, a smile on his lips that — as per usual — was graceful and warm, but devoid of any particular welcoming feeling. “Has Shenow?”— he replied with a quirked brow. The capital S had been perfectly audible in his words, a hint of deference peeking through in an otherwise blasé individual. “And this support of Hers.” — he paused — “Through you, of course.”Llyr’s hand graciously and politely extended to the Satyr.“What might it entail?”
A Llyr’s gaze lingered sharply on Drahe, despite the upturned lips, ushering his kinswoman to show her worth. Though no Ambassador would refuse a gift such as this from a member of their Court, the truth was, all Fey craved freedom. And a chaperone — even one under his command, to an extent — would not sit well with any of them. No, this was a deal, and though he’d need to figure out what it’d cost him in the future and prepare for it, the first step was to know what he’d get from taking it.
Tristan nods at Dog’s suggestion. “Yes, if the shrine must be outside of the city, perhaps we can do it during the visit to Finnegan’s tower. I would recommend after we visit the tower. We may learn something that will inform our discussions with the Traveler. If they come. And, if we are close enough to the tower, I may be able to see how Finnegan reacts to our visit while we construct the shrine.”

The entire party makes their way to Matas. Finnegan's own teleportation circle does not seem to be working, so the party must rely on Dog's teleportation helm, which lands them in the city proper, mainly to provide easy access to the road and to not be surprised by the security that Haleek reported was seen in and around the tower. The road leading south, sometimes called the Queen's road or the Prince's road as it is long, but less useful than the King's road, will need to be traveled for at least 50 miles, if not further to get away from the towns that dot the road.
Examining Finnegan's tower, there is indeed a heavier presence of humanoid guards on high alert. The tower has only the one entrance, as most mage towers do, and Finnegan's laboratories are several stories up.

Dog's parents, Gash and Dog learn quickly through discussing with merchants and farmers at the market, have indeed been released from service. They are staying at The Bugler and Brandy, an inn close to the center of Matas. It is a respectable place and the pair of old goliath appear to be figuring out what to do with themselves and their newfound freedom.
“The Bugler and Brandy, well I could use a drink” Tristan looks at Dog “Do you want to go check on your parents first? Get an idea of the lay of the land before we check out the tower?”
"I could just play the dumb goliath who doesn't know his parents aren't there,"Dog messages to Tristan. "I could learn more trying to get in, forcing him to show they're not there. I might learn something about his plans. If you could keep a quiet eye on my parents while I do. Need to find some way to get them to a safe place soon."
Kulloda looks around their surroundings in Matas and at Finnegan's tower. He sets Rindeth to stand a little ways away from the group and keep watch on anyone that seems to take an interest in the group.
"Drink always good idea," Kulloda says to Tristan.
He turns back to the wizard's tower.
"Why always long pointy tower?" Kulloda asks. "Wizards supposed to be smart. But all choose same thing."
He shrugs then looks over at Dog, who he notices is very focused on Tristan. Then he claps his hands together.
"You do mind speak?" Kulloda asks.
He watches the guards at the base of the tower for a few moments.
"Some go smash heads. Some sneak in while head smashing distraction going on?"
Tristan responds to Dog’s message “Actually, I would prefer to join you in the tower to see what we can learn of his plans. I need to visit the tower if I want to look in on it later. I will be happy to help you and your parents afterwards.”
He turns to Kulloda “Looks like we may need to get that drink later, friend. Any ideas on how to get into this tower?”
"Hmpf," Kulloda grunts at the mention of just asking to go inside. Where was the fun in that? No head smashing? "If gnome not open door and not let in, then smash heads? Maybe window higher up, or roof. Sneak in that way."

Previously, on The High Court...
"I've...never left the feywild before," Ms. Drahe says. "But the part of it I hail from is dangerous. We do not luxuriate in the frivolity and play like many of my kind."
Drahe doesn't emphasize "my kind" but it speaks volumes to Llyr. He is not one of her kind, even it was not meant as a slight, it says she thinks of herself and Llyr's relationship already.
"Kestra of the Summer Thorns saved my life in the Violet Forest. She recruited me into her service to be ready if anything threatens the feywild. I have trained under her and now she is deploying me for the purpose of that intended training. I am not here to spy on you or give you directions. I am your underling, Ambassador. Put me to use as you need to protect the feywild."
She speaks with a sincerity and focus of purpose highly unusual of the fey. She is much more like the soldiers of the mortal realm than its fey mirror.
"I do not know if Kestra of the Summer Thorns expects anything in return for sending me to you. I absolve you of any debt incurred by my help, whether I save your life or share my lunch."
Tristan looks over at Martin and nods “The front door is a sound idea. The direct approach. With Finnegan’s past relationship with you, Dog, and Gash, he may welcome us. It would be interesting to see how open he is to our questions. Shall we go make ourselves known?"
Tristan pauses and turns to Kulloda “Then again, he has stolen the plans and likely expects us to come after them. Be ready to smash some heads.”
Kulloda smiles when Tristan mentions that there may still be head smashing to come.
He then turns to Rindeth Mar. He has only told the others that Rindeth is with him. The slave part doesn't sit well with Kulloda.
"Watch from street," Kulloda says. "If little gnome wizard run out. Follow. Don't try fight. Not go well. Then find Kulloda once gnome goes to ground."
Kulloda then goes up next to Gash while the others decide about entering the tower.
"Little friend Gash," Kulloda begins. "Do you know about cursed collars? Can take one off?"
The party stand in front of the door, the banging of the door knocker freshly echoing in their minds. It takes a full 30 seconds before the door swings open. A rakshasa stands before them, eyeing them suspiciously.
”You confident here. Not hide that you tiger-devil. But answer door like servant. Ha. Kulloda not answer doors.”
Then he falls silent, watching the rakshasa. The others will be better at explaining why they’re there. Instead, Kulloda gets ready to pounce if the rakshasa makes any sign of aggression.
Tristan looks the raksasha over warily “Are you a fan of the circus? I have heard that you, or one of your kin, visited the traveling Temple of Leira recently.”
“No matter, please tell Master Finnegan that several of his old acquaintances are visiting from the capital and would like to meet with the God-in-waiting.”

“Um. Uhyeah. We’d like to…” Martin trails off, distracted by the rakshasa’s appearance.

“I’m here to see Finnegan. I grew up in this tower and I need to talk to him about my parents,” Dog says.
(Could he cast protection from evil and good when he sees the rakshasa? Does he know rakshasas would be affected by such a spell?
