I apologize, I thought that since I held my action, on Round Three, on Round Four it counted as a reaction therefore counting as a spell but as my action from the previous round. I also completely forgot about his movement and action, and just right in. So would you like to back track to his turn, ignoring my post or me casting Shillelagh and physical attack? Or just continue on to Round Five?
OOC: The Shillelagh cast and attack is the only thing we need to retcon. For Leon's second cast of Ice Knife it would say in the spell description if it was save for half damage. This spell says to save or take damage. With Clove's natural 20 on the Dex save he did some truly Matrix-style dodges and just took a glancing blow from the hit and all the resulting shards just flew by him. So if I read everything right he gets 5 hit points back. Unless anyone has other objections or clarifications to make -
OOC: The only question I have now is how he regained 5 health. I understand him dodging my dex save, but he should be down now since I put him down two points past his health. He made a DEX save not a death save to dodge from my exploding shards. How he regained health is something I don't understand.
OOC: My fault I got focused on why he was making a Dex save. My simple math skills failed me and I didn't realize that after 11 and 3 damage that the 12 hit point fighter should be at -2...
The ice shard impacts Clove in the chest and he starts to fall backward unconscious. Immediately the world shatters and implodes on itself. You are both deposited in your own area fully restored. The area has changed slightly for both of you. The room is no longer a plain cube. It has sleeping quarters and a training/research area appropriate to your class. On arrival, you hear the voice of one and many speaking "Well it was not the greatest of showing from the plodding one... Oh well better luck next time chappy."
A pleasant androgynous voice speaks "Welcome to the Emporium Vesania. Please select the equipment you would like." Knowledge floods your mind of all the items available to your current tier. Choose up to five items then message me and I will reply with the cost of the item/s. Remove the gold from your inventory and then you can add the item to your inventory. If it does not require special circumstances to attune you may attune the item immediately. If it does have special attunement requirements I will let you know if you will be able to attune it. After each match, you may send me a message with a different list of five items. The lists will not carry over from match to match. After each match, you will have to submit a new list for a new set of prices. Common magical items are available. I have added gold to your inventory.
You are not sure but time did seem to pass in the strange realm you now think of as the staging area. The pleasant voice in your head could provide any requested items so long as you parted with the required gold. Hunger and thirst did not seem to be problems and you always seemed to be refreshed as if you just woke up from a deep sleep. At some point the one and a hundred voices spoke again “Time for the next event. My contestants! To Arms!”
The world twisted in what was quickly becoming a familiar way.
The next instant you are in a thickly wooded area. The trees are large five to ten feet wide and spaced five to twenty feet apart. A thick canopy prevents undergrowth and provides mostly clear paths. There are no phantoms this time. Quiet alien sounds of a forest on the verge of slumber are all that greets you. The lighting is very dim under the canopy of the forest. At the edge of your vision you catch a glimpse of another humanoid figure about fifty feet away. They have three-quarters cover. They seem to be the only other living thing here.
Leon Battlehammer vs Xarythas. Round 1. Roll Initiative.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Leon, looking around for any clear shot, even though leaving his own protection behind him, decides to advance towards the side of the figure, and get a clear shot. Once on the side, Leon, with his staff in hand, decides to cast a spell since he cannot make it within melee range.
"I am sorry stranger," and with that he cast Ice Knife at Xarythas.
OOC: I apologize, I meant to go to forum history, but accidentally deleted the comment itself I wasn't reading it. Is there a way I can get it back, or do I just retype on what said? It was my reroll on dice since I landed a critical.
(Mate, you've got a pretty bad history of editing your posts, how about you stop doing that?)
Xarythas takes a small cut from the Ice Knife while still behind cover
DEX Save 21
OOC: This is actually my first time, so I don't know what bad history you're talking about. But I'll make sure to get better. I'm not use to post by post, only discord. Since I messed up I'll give up on the crit to make up for it.
OOC: For attack rolls on the forums if you use the dice icon at the top of the edit box it will automatically test for crits and if the roll is a crit then it will roll and add the dice as needed. All you will need to do is apply the correct modifiers in the boxes provided.
Example: Attack: 25 Damage: 28I manipulated the dice roll in this example to show a crit. The damage roll was not modified.
Also, players can review this for dice rolling tips:
Leon moves to get a clear line of sight on Xarythas and launches an Ice Knife at him. The shard scores a thin line and Xarythas familiar with the spell avoids the blast and the shard explodes.

Round 2
If you are on the computer, and you have the mouse over the numbers, you can see mine didn't automatically do that. I rolled mine separately since I do not know exactly how to use the dice roller. I only type 'to hit' and put the basic type roll in. then I put damage and put basic as well.
Here are my second rolls, and since Xarythas made his save, I won't bother putting it down. But here is what the basic piercing damage does:
Damage: 6
After the damage, we can just continue, with Xarythas casting his action, and going back to round two. But whatever damage this is about to do, I have no objection whatsoever is he decides to another move, since this may change his mind.
From Leon's perspective, there are trees to his left and right with about 25 feet between them. Leon has moved to the open area in between them to get a clear line of sight on Xarythas. Xarythas is about 20 feet away from Leon. The tree trunks are about 10 feet wide.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Leon, now seeing Xarythas in a more clear image since of his new position, runs up barreling towards the Sorcerer with his club in hand, enchanted now (Shillelagh). The dwarf attempts to bash the man in the hopes of his falling, that way he may hope to end this quickly. "I am sorry friend, but something compels me to fight you!"

Xarythas takes the brutal blow resulting in knocking him incapacitated
(Good hit! For Critical Hits, you don't get x2 that +X to your damage, you just get an extra dice roll for Damage and then one lot of the +X damage)
Here's the code for the Dice roll so you dont need to put in the edit for the Critical damage. My +'s are just for example
Attack: [roll]1d20+4[/roll] Damage: [roll](if([roll:-1:critical], =0, 1d10, 2{1d10}.expand())+3)[/roll]
Just drop the

tags and it does the work for you
