Seems like an oversight, to allow the player to filter by Partnered books without going into Advanced but to not actually make those filters work unless the player also flips a switch in the Advanced section. Filtering by a Partnered book should, in my opinion, be interpreted as indicating that Yes, the user does indeed want to see partnered content in their results.
Regardless, it works. A tiny bit cumbersome and unintuitive, but not a big deal. Still not nearly as not-user-friendly as homebrew! xD
I appreciate the help!
LATE EDIT: I just noticed that the Wildemount backgrounds no longer show up in the list by default either. They used to. I thought for a moment I was missing content! I'm not sure I like this change, lol; it's just extra steps to see content I own, content I didn't have to faff around before just to see in the aggregated lists.
Me again. The Lyceum Scholar background says it grants "A set of fine clothes, a student uniform, a writing kit (small pouch with a quill, ink, folded parchment, and a penknife), and a belt pouch containing 10 gp." I just used it in a character and took starting equipment, and there area few things to note:
It adds (among other things) "a penknife" to the character's "Other Possessions" section.
I'm assuming this, too, is intended behavior? That is, it's not supposed to be a small knife like a few other backgrounds (eg. Urchin) grant?
UPDATE: It looks like Cloistered Scholar gets you the same "writing kit" but that one does give a small knife. So, yeah, probably just a minor error in the Lyceum Scholar background
It does not add the gold it says it's supposed to.
This is easy enough to add manually - but this is undeniably not intended behavior.
For anyone looking for a better implementation of Way of the Cobalt Soul's Mystical Erudition:
First, get rid of the old framework that's causing issues.
Make a copy of Way of the Cobalt Soul in the homebrew creator tools. Rename it "Way of the Cobalt Soul (fixed)".
Go to the first "Mystical Erudition" feature at level 6. Delete the Modifier "Twice Proficiency - Choose a Cobalt Soul skill" from the MODIFIERS section.
Then, enable options.
Check the box next to "Has Options" beside the Display Order field.
In the Class Levels Where Options Known field to the right of that, type 6.
Now, add your options.
Under the Class Feature Options section, click the "Add an Option" button.
Label OPTION 1 as "Proficiency".
In the Snippet field for Proficiency, type: You gain proficiency with one of the following skills of your choice: Arcana, History, Investigation, Nature, or Religion.
In the Description field for Proficiency, type: You gain proficiency with one of the following skills of your choice: [skill]Arcana[/+skill], [skill]History[/+skill], [skill]Investigation[/+skill], [skill]Nature[/+skill], or [skill]Religion[/+skill].
The text need not be bolded, that is for emphasis in this tutorial. Additionally, delete the + signs between [/ and skill].
In the Required Class Level field, type 6.
Click the "Save Changes" button.
Click "Add a Modifier" under the MODIFIERS section.
Under the Modifier Type field, select Proficiency.
Under the Modifier Subtype field, select Choose a Skill.
The Cobalt Soul skill cluster is not available to most people. Dev tools and moderator tools might have this option as a subtype. You will still need to verify that your players select one of the applicable skills. No amount of text reinforcement can limit the options they see without the skill cluster.
Under the Details field, type: Arcana, History, Investigation, Nature, or Religion.
The details field does nothing and doesn't show up under the character sheet or options. This is more of a peace-of-mind option in case this field ever does have a functionality.
Label OPTION 2 as "Expertise".
In the Snippet field for Expertise, type: Choose to double your proficiency bonus for any ability check you make that uses one of the following skills: Arcana, History, Investigation, Nature, or Religion.

Repeat this process for the Mystical Erudition (Additional) features at 11th level and 17th level. Change the Required Class Levels fields and the Class Levels Where Options Known fields to match the level of the feature that you're working on.
EDIT: Formatting changes. Also to add:
The feat "Vital Sacrifice" does not have a tracker indicating how many instances of a boon can be held at once. My reading of the feat indicates that you can only hold one instance of a blood boon at a time. It's a simple fix to add a limited use of 1 with a reset type of Other under the Vital Sacrifice: Blood Boon action.
Do the hardcover or PDF editions of this book contain a full-continent map? Because there doesn't seem to be one included on the DDB edition.
Both the hardcover and the PDF editions contain a full-continent map of Tal'dorei. I have no idea why the implementation over dndbeyond.com is missing it. I'd love a big image of Tal'dorei on beyond.
I'd like to second (third) this - it's difficult to use the geography sections of the book without having a sense of where everything fits together. I realize I could google it but it should be a part of the DND Beyond purchase.
As a DM who needs to pop open spells, magic items, and monsters rules pages very frequently and the rest relatively frequently when DMing but sometimes even just when playing, having to go into advanced filters every single time to enable viewing partnered content is extremely annoying. We shouldn't have to go through that many clicks to double check a spell - it slows you down more than you'd think when you're doing it every 15 minutes but can't or just don't want to keep all those extra tabs open.
There is already an icon next to partnered content on all the lists (spells, feats, etc) and it has that big info box at the top of its description, so it's obvious at a glance. If you are able to access those books' content on DDB at all, it's either free, you own the books yourself, or at least one person in one of your campaigns where content sharing has been enabled and the DM hasn't disabled sharing that book - so in all cases, those who have access to the content at all should be able to see it by default, that filter should be set to "yes" by default.
Alternatively, if you folx really find it critical to default viewing partnered content to "no" for some opaque reason, there should at least be an easy way to set and save "Partnered Content Filtered Default: Y/N" universally across your account in your preferences for all places where that filter exists.
Either I'm a fool or the Mixed Ancestory feature is not appearing in character creator. Even if I have critical role and non core content enabled.
This feature is not supported by the character builder, instead you should use the homebrew tools to make a character of mixed ancestry using the rules presented
Since there don't seem to be any new spells then Avrae shouldn't require anything extra to support this book; Avrae basically only uses the parts that get added to the character sheet like actions, modifiers etc. so anything supported directly on the D&D Beyond character sheet should just work, and anything else you need to handle yourself as normal.

Former D&D Beyond Customer of six years: With the axing of piecemeal purchasing, lack of meaningful development, and toxic moderation the site isn't worth paying for anymore. I remain a free user only until my groups are done migrating from DDB, and if necessary D&D, after which I'm done. There are better systems owned by better companies out there.
I have unsubscribed from all topics and will not reply to messages. My homebrew is now 100% unsupported.

This isn't quite right. You can use avrae to look up monsters, magic items, subclasses, races etc.
All of which are currently supported for the Tal'Dorei book

Is there a possibility for this feature to be supported in the future or will attention given to such a system since One D&D is being worked on? I only ask becuase it would be nice for such a feature to available to those that own this content, rather than each individual going through the process of hombrewing every racial feature for just themselves and content shared. I understand that you can publish homebrew content on DnDBeyond, but I am sceptical and concerned it will get flagged for being to similar to another race, thus not being able to be published.
Thanks for the previous reply, and for the next if you do respond.

You don't have to publish homebrew. Unpublished homebrew can still be used on your character and shared with everyone you are in a campaign with.
Make sure you've also clicked 'show advanced filters' and set 'Partnered Content' to Yes. Then they'll show up.

That works, thanks!

Purchased this online in the marketplace but the purchase is not reflected in the iOS version of the mobile app.

Nevermind
Tal’Dorei world map please 🙏
Still experiencing this
