IKR? How long have they known the new books were coming out?
I figured they'd have featured tested all the updates.
"Can't support monk's extended reach"
Is it really that hard?
This feels like Tasha's all over again.
The forum reports of missing content there are legendary.
I'm actually surprised it's so inept! I had thought it would be better role out.

The War Caster feat only shows up as a legacy selection on the character sheet for my wizard character. I haven't extensively checked the other feats so I don't know if this is the only one missing.
Ritual Caster - Has a mix of the old and new version coded into it. Picking a stat instead of a class allows it to be used normally, though the number of ritual spells you can pick are equal to twice your proficiency bonus. Example: At level 8, was able to pick 6 ritual spells. Picking a stat DOES increase that stat by 1. Picking a class results in using the old version.
Warlocks are able to access every pact with their invocation picks as they level. Agonizing Blast can only be picked once and only for eldritch blast (It is literally named Agonizing Blast (Eldritch Blast)). Eldritch Spear and Repelling Blast do not allow you to pick a cantrip. Devouring Blade DOES NOT EXIST. Lessons of the First Ones does not have a dropdown to pick an origin feat.
More to come, I'm sure, as I keep going through the classes and feats in the character builder.
When instructed to select a Fighting Style Feat anywhere, except the 1st level Fighter Fighting Style Feature, all feat options that the character meets the prerequisite for are shown. This seems to be true for almost all feat selection drop down boxes, except those that appear at first level features or are part of another character creation starting feature or trait (ex. human's choice of origin feat)
Despite being described as being the part that is supported as part of this threads initial staff post:
No drop down box appears in the character creator to choose an Origin Feat when this Eldritch Invocation is selected.
Please use the Search function to confirm if someone has already posted your bug. This is 21 pages of people reporting the same bugs over and over and that's not really helpful for anyone.
I also want to point out that before calling out something as a bug you should read the initial staff post to see if what your calling out is even supported yet. If it is not supported yet, like a number of the Warlock pact based Eldritch Invocations, then it isn't a bug. I deleted my first post to the thread when I realized it wasn't a bug or issue.
For all those unable to get certain feats that your character should have like war caster:
It's a bug. For some reason the website puts it in the "You dont meet these pre-requisites" portion of the table. The same thing is going on for a few other feats like Elemental adept. If you want to get it and use it in your game then you will have to select settings on the "manage features" tab and disable the toggle that forces you into using feats that you only have prerequisites for. It's an easy-ish workaround until they fix the issue.
Reiterating that the Spell list for sorcerers is not allowing you to add the amount of prepared spells listed in the new PHB.
I'm currently at level 15 and my sorcerer can only learn 15 prepped spells when the PHB says he should be able to learn 18. This 15 cap stays until he is raised to level 19 when it jumps to 21 spells and then 22 prepped spells at level 20.
I'm sure other casters may also have similar problems. Currently I have to homebrew a feat to lets me add more spells.
If this isn't fixed and soon, i reckon a bunch of people are dipping out. This is unacceptable, half the stuff isn't working. Whose genius idea was it to release it in this state? This reeks of incompetence from management.
In the new PHB in the section of Species, under Aasimar there is a line that I want some clarification on.
Inner Radiance. Searing light temporarily radiates from your eyes and mouth. For the duration, you shed Bright Light in a 10-foot radius and Dim Light for an additional 10 feet, and at the end of each of your turns, each creature within 10 feet of you takes Radiant damage equal to your Proficiency Bonus.
Necrotic Shroud. Your eyes briefly become pools of darkness, and flightless wings sprout from your back temporarily. Creatures other than your allies within 10 feet of you must succeed on a Charisma saving throw (DC 8 plus your Charisma modifier and Proficiency Bonus) or have the Frightened condition until the end of your next turn.
As worded this includes allis and neutral NPC's. But in the Necrotic Shroad part it specifies that it's creatures other then your allies. Is this an intentional difference, if so is there a reason?
Paladin and Ranger don't calculate the correct spellcaster level when multiclassing. Half Casters get their spellcasting at level 1 now and round up when halving their level to calculate your spellcaster level. A Paladin 1 /Sorcerer 1 should have 3 level 1 spell slots, but has only 2 at the moment. Thanks for your hard work!
Yes its meant to work that way. Why, ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ lore I believe. This was the old flavor of the feature: Radiant Consumption Starting at 3rd level, you can use your action to unleash the divine energy within yourself, causing a searing light to radiate from you, pour out of your eyes and mouth, and threaten to char you.
Hello! I've been messing around with the character creator with the 2024 Player's Handbook. While I do appreciate the updated ruleset, there are a number of issues I've discovered, including but not limited to:
Unable to select the 2024 versions of spells as an Artificer. Additionally, its subclasses only have the legacy version of the spells.
Other subclasses for the rest of the classes that didn't appear in the 2024 PHB but are selectable only have the legacy version of the spells.
The Infusions only apply to legacy items (i.e. Enhanced Arcane Focus with the legacy versions of the staff, rod, and wand; Replicate Magic Item; Spell-Refueling Ring, Helm of Awareness, etc.).
The Warlock's Pact Blade does not apply Charisma modifier to weapon damage rolls.
Feats that let you select features such as Fighting Initiate, Eldritch Adept, and Metamagic Adept are limited to their pre-2024 options.
Backgrounds prior to the release of the 2024 version of the Player's Handbook that give feats only give the legacy version. If you select a different background, that feat may persist on the character sheet.
Choosing the Divine Soul subclass for the 2024 Sorcerer does not add Cleric spells to the Sorcerer's spell list. (fixed!)
Certain classes for various feats (Elemental Adept, Fighting Style feats, Spell Sniper, War Caster, etc.) don't seem to meet the prerequisites. Likewise, Rangers and Paladins cannot choose a Fighting Style at level 2.
Medium Armor Master requires a Dexterity of 16 or higher, despite its prerequisites saying it doesn't.
When applying the Ability Score Improvement feat, one can raise their ability score above 20.
Selecting spells from the Ritual Caster feat does not display said spells on the character sheet.
When receiving spells from a majority subclasses, species, and feats, the button next to the spell says At-Will instead of Use or Cast.
The Wizard's Spell Mastery feature would not let you upcast level 3 spells. Neither does Signature Spells.
The number of Attacks remain 1 despite classes granting the Extra Attack feature.
For the 2024 version of the Druid, Cleric, and Wizard, the number of spells they can prepare is still tied to their class level plus their spellcasting modifier.
The Monk's Warrior of Mercy subclass' Hand of Healing summary has "scalevalue - No level scale data available" instead of its intended value.
When clicking on Sources at the top, the Player's Handbook (2024) isn't in the Featured section, requiring people to view all sources.
At times, when using a pre-2024 species with Tasha's Customize Your Origin feature with the 2024 backgrounds, the option to increase your ability scores isn't there. (seems to be fixed)
The 2024 version of the Warlock is not able to pick options from Xanathar's Guide to Everything and Tasha's Cauldron of Everything, such as Improved Pact Weapon.
Hands of Harm and Healing does not add a Monk's Wisdom modifier to the dice.
While a spell scroll has a link to its 2014 page in the 2024 PHB compendium, the 2024 version of a potion of healing doesn't. Instead, it leads to its marketplace page.
Bards still apply half of their proficiency bonus to their Initiative. (fixed!)
Common Sign Language cannot be selected in the character builder nor on the sheet.
Rogues can't pick a rare language. Additionally, they can apply Expertise to Thieves' Tools.
The Gloom Stalker's Umbral Sight feature does not increase the range of a species' darkvision.
The Champion subclass gives the Fighter a feat instead of just being limited to a fighting style feat.
Etc. I will add more should I find more issues.
I do appreciate the developers and coders taking their time to fix any bugs and glitches. Better to have the buggy stuff during early access than at full launch.
The Attribute choices for the new Backgrounds are not listed in the description for any of the new Backgrounds. This seems like a fairly significant omission.

In addition to attack and attack roll missing from Sorcerous Burst, the summary info for the spell shows up next to the equipped light crossbow.

AMEN!
Champion's improved crit range still does not result in a crit, rolls are only recognized as crits on a 20 regardless

The "Powerful Build" from the Goliath gives my Barbarian Advantage on every single Skill. Pretty hilarious actually.
