ENABLING CONTENT FOR YOUR CHARACTER
To use content from The Griffon’s Saddlebag: Book Two in the character builder, you will need to set the character preferences to include The Griffon’s Saddlebag source category (see the .gif below).
NEW MAGIC ITEMS
This book features a variety of new magic items. These magic items are partially supported with the following exceptions:
Actions on Magic Items. Some of the new magic items grant specific actions as part of their magic. D&D Beyond doesn’t currently support the ability to attach actions directly to magic items; we have included charges and associated spells where appropriate, but in the case that an item’s functionality is otherwise text-only, we recommend creating Custom Actions on the character sheet to represent those items.
Artifact Variant Properties. There are three artifacts in this book that include variant properties: Arista, Wand of the Spire; Nimbus, First Staff of the Thunderbirds; Silverwind, the Cleansing Breeze. D&D Beyond does not currently support variant properties with prerequisites such as those related to class or character level.
Base Weapon Dice. Magic items, such as Bow of the Eldritch Archer, use different damage dice compared to what the base weapon uses. Currently, D&D Beyond cannot replace the base weapon's damage dice. To support these magic items the replacement damage displays as additional damage with a note to remind players of this replacement on the character sheet.
Multiple Weapon Types. D&D Beyond cannot support magic items, such as Dawn and Dusk, that can switch between two different base weapons. To accommodate these magic items we have created two listings for each weapon type.
Non-Weapon Magic Items. The book features a variety of wondrous items and armor that deal damage. Unfortunately, D&D Beyond cannot support damage outside of magic items that are weapons. The damage has still been added to these listings to help with searchability.
Reach. At this time, D&D Beyond cannot support the extended reach for individual magic items, such as the increase reach for Aciurgist's Blade.
NEW SUBCLASSES
This book features twelve new subclasses that are compatible with 2014 and 2024 characters. These subclasses are mostly supported with the following exceptions:
Circle of Dragons. When activating the druid's dragon shape feature, the AC does not adjust on the character sheet under the Armor Class section. The AC for dragon shape is displayed in the class feature tab.
Steel Hawk Fighter. The Nimble Lancer subclass feature is not currently supported. At this time, weapon stats and properties cannot be adjusted via a class feature.
NEW SPECIES
The book features two new species: Etherean and Geleton. These species are fully supported and compatible with 2014 and 2024 characters.
NEW CONDITION
This book features one new condition: Drunkenness. D&D Beyond is currently unable to support new conditions, however monster listings that reference this new condition include links to the compendium for quick reference on how the Drunkeness condition works.
AVRAE
At the time of release this book is not supported through the discord bot, Avrae. The content from this book will be supported at a later date.
Why can't Reach be supported in D&D Beyond? I am able to increase reach on homebrew magic items by setting Bonus - Melee Reach to add however much is needed to match the item description.
Public Mod Note
(spamandtuna):
These items are increasing the range of other effects, not the weapon's reach
When using the Way of the Aether Monk subclass with a 2024 Monk, the Spirit Strike is using the 2014 Martial Arts die scale instead of the 2024 scale.
The Spirit Strike is also failing to add the Wisdom Modifier to the attack and damage roll calculations when it is customized to be listed as an action.
The Champion's Greatbow is not showing a note to use a d10 for damage in the character sheet Actions
For a homebrew workaround, creating a copy and adding the Versatile property will at least get the 1d10 option added with the 1d8 option in the character sheet Actions.
Not sure why but speed modifications for a Geleton Path of the Infernal Barbarian (2024) don't change from the base 30 ft. Even when using a feat like Speedy. Movement should be 50 ft, 30 base +10 from fast movement + 10 from Speedy.

This has to do with the Geleton. Tried it with Ranger / Monk Barbarian / Mobile / Speedy. Nothing increases the speed.
Grim Surgeon is only giving normal proficiency in Medicine instead of double proficiency.
You mean Expertise, right?
Because Expertise is hard-coded to base Rogue, Ranger & Bard-specific features on this site.
That's why so many things that grant expertise outside of those & feats tend to not work.
If I didn't have a feeling that Sigil's launch(& most likely mandatory usage (w/no opt in or opt out) for Beyond users going forward(unless you stick to pen in paper or non-Beyond tools), like with a lot of 2024 content creeping in) is going to cause a lot of things here to *suddenly* be functional(sic) so Sigil can be (forcibly) integrated into everything, I would be more angry that the coding of the site isn't being tweaked more often to fix a lot of things around here.

Aciurgist's Blade increases the reach of Lay on Hands, not the reach of the blade itself. This isn't possible using that (or any other) modifier.
While holding it, your reach increases by 5 feet when using your Lay on Hands feature.

Why can't Reach be supported in D&D Beyond? I am able to increase reach on homebrew magic items by setting Bonus - Melee Reach to add however much is needed to match the item description.
In the character builder under 3. Species, if you select the Geleton it says:
When using the Way of the Aether Monk subclass with a 2024 Monk, the Spirit Strike is using the 2014 Martial Arts die scale instead of the 2024 scale.
The Spirit Strike is also failing to add the Wisdom Modifier to the attack and damage roll calculations when it is customized to be listed as an action.
The Cleric of Festus has it's spell list doubled when using the 2014 Cleric with both the 2014 & 2024 version of the spells showing up.
The Champion's Greatbow is not showing a note to use a d10 for damage in the character sheet Actions
For a homebrew workaround, creating a copy and adding the Versatile property will at least get the 1d10 option added with the 1d8 option in the character sheet Actions.
Dragon Breath Ammunition is showing up as a Hand Crossbow when I try to add it to my inventory.
The Magic Coin attack of the Mercantile College doesn't add the proficiency bonus in the character sheet
Groupthink (Warlock The Many) does not add the bonus to the character sheet.
Oath of the Spelldrinker does not apply Oath Spells to the paladin as described
Not sure why but speed modifications for a Geleton Path of the Infernal Barbarian (2024) don't change from the base 30 ft. Even when using a feat like Speedy. Movement should be 50 ft, 30 base +10 from fast movement + 10 from Speedy.
This has to do with the Geleton. Tried it with Ranger / Monk Barbarian / Mobile / Speedy. Nothing increases the speed.
Angelic Grace on Gorget of the Holy Soldier, is not increasing walking speed or AC.
Rocborne with the 2024 Ranger (haven't tested 2014) has all of the extra spells as "at will" instead of using spell slots.
Grim Surgeon is only giving normal proficiency in Medicine instead of double proficiency.
The Channel Divinity from Oath of the Spelldrinker is overweighting the Paladin's base class Channel Divinity
You mean Expertise, right?
Because Expertise is hard-coded to base Rogue, Ranger & Bard-specific features on this site.
That's why so many things that grant expertise outside of those & feats tend to not work.

Wait, was it supossed to add the proficiency, to the magic coin atk ?
It's not a site coding issue, they just need to change the feature modifier to twice proficiency.
It's not a serious bug, I just want my character sheet to look pretty and not have to manually edit my skill proficiencies xD
Aciurgist's Blade increases the reach of Lay on Hands, not the reach of the blade itself. This isn't possible using that (or any other) modifier.
