Anyone have any advice on this? I tried to transfer over some maps from an adventure, and no matter how much I messed with it, I couldn't get the grids to line up. Any assistance would be amazing.
Well, a typical map not designed for roll20 is probably 72 or 96 pixels per inch. In general what you should do for a map in roll20 is start with a map that is a specific number of squares wide and high and resize it to that many squares in roll20.
Ah, Align To Grid, that's it - sorry, was working form memory! The rest of the advice stays though - PM me if you want a hand or more detailed explanation :o)

roll20 maps use a rather weird default scale of 70 pixels per square.
Is that where the errors come from? What would be a better scale?

Once the map is dropped onto your map layer, right click on it and go to Advanced > Map Scaling.
This will get your map near-as-darn it matched, all you have to do then is hold down Alt and drag or resize to fit.
I don't seem to have an option for Map Scaling. I have set dimensions and align to grid.
