So what if a Water Elemental and an Air Elemental fused together. FEAR THE SODA ELEMENTAL! Would be kinda fun to have the players start a fight against the two separated elementals, and then when one gets a little low they fuse together, gain some ranged soda spray attacks (maybe treat them like magic missiles?) or... bubble beam...

I am starting work on locations of Candyland, a few are originals, many are locations present in some version of the game. If anyone looking at this thread has anything to say about these little blurbs (good or bad) I will readily accept them. Much of this is still firmly in rough draft stage, but I am currently looking at this setting as basically a series of one shot type adventures. Branches allowing progress through different approaches ( or just avoiding) to obstacles.
Candy Castle - The Candy Castle and everything inside it (including the king) has vanished, and nobody knows how or why. Since its disappearance the rumors and stories have multiplied. From stories about horrific experimentation being performed in the laboratories, attempts to create monsters, torture of the residents of Candyland themselves, and secret 'Popsicle' parties. The stories have gotten more and more out of control the more time that has passed since the "Vanishing". (Leaving this open currently because I myself don't know what is at the main 'goal' maybe this is just a step)
Candy Hearts - A town for lovers, Everyone can find a heart just for them. Candy Hearts is the town for those in love and for those seeking love. A charming village full of residents that are looking for that special someone. Some are looking for just the right heart that will complete them. No one is really sure where the candy hearts themselves come from but they make for one of Candyland's most sought after aphrodisiac.
Cherry Pitfalls - Dangerous area known for sinkholes, caves, and gummi worms. The Cherry pitfalls are a desolate location filled with dangerous sink holes leading into the caverns underground carved by the great Gummi Worms. The most dangerous of these are the sand pits, unexpectedly opening up and drawing the slower people down into the depths. The dangers below ground are many, the least of which are juvenile Gummi Worms looking for their next meal. Large scavengers also dot the landscape hoping to pick over the remains of a worm attack.
Chocolate Mountain - Must be crossed to get to Gramma Gooey. A forbidding mountain keeping the 'less determined' pilgrims looking for a boon from Gramma Gooey away. Rock Candy Golems are said to roam the slopes and passes through here. Elementals, chocolate bats, and the Dark Chocolate Elves all call this area home. Safe passage through this mountain is almost non existent, but for those that complete the journey to Gramma Gooey receive great rewards. The only question is what was the price each person paid for their boon? Yet even with the inherent dangers determined folk strive to cross the mountain searching for Gramma Gooey on the other side.
Cupcake Commons - The trade capital of Candyland, where the goods from all corners of the kingdom are brought to market. From Cane Wood, to Gum Drops anything of worth in Candyland is for sale here. Lately The Duke of Swirl has been increasing the taxes to help fund the search efforts for the king. The residents of the cupcake houses were more than willing to do so, but as the taxes have continued to rise more unrest has been building. The residents are beginning to wonder where all the money is going to, and why they haven't seen Princess Lolly, or Queen Frostine recently. Pop runs the foremost store in the Cupcake Commons, offering rare high quality goods. Rumors are that Pop is also running an underground campaign against the good Duke of Swirl in response to the unreasonable taxation they are experiencing.
Gingerbread House - A Colonial Style Mansion where Gramma Gooey lives. Gramma's palatial mansion where she holds her own personal court. Entertaining her occasional guests, with grand feasts of epic proportions. Any delicacy you could think of across Candyland is available at her table. How she gets these foods is another question, perhaps it is all illusion, or these were the agreements made by previous supplicants. However she achieves it she puts on a grand show, and is never afraid to demonstrate her power here. She does enjoy redecorating her house frequently using her full staff to re-ice the Gingerbread house when the whim takes her. Sometimes even moving the whole mansion if the area has lost its appeal to her. Those that have spent a night in the house talk about the strange sounds of scraping and scratching they heard at night but none had the courage to investigate further.
Gingerbread Plum Orchard - The protective border of Candyland, populated by living plant like organisms. The Forest on the border of Candyland is filled with creatures that protect the safety of Candyland. Though controlled overall by Mama Gingertree, there are many other dangers in the Gingerbread Plum Orchard. The gingerbread plums themselves make for a delicious food source, but are sometimes just a lure for someone or something to draw intruders in. Those that attempt to bypass the main road and avoid Mama Gingertree and her cohorts risk becoming lost in the woods, and falling prey to the less controlled aspects of the forests defenses. Those that stick to the main road through the Orchard will come across Mama Gingertree and be asked questions as to the purpose of their travel into Candyland. Those that are not courteous are dealt with swiftly, and violently. Those that stay on the good side of Mama Gingertree will generally be allowed to leave unmolested. Thought sometimes they might see Plumpy watching them from the distance, just keeping a watchful eye on visitors to the realm.
Gumdrop Mines - Source of the most valuable energy resource in candyland (and several other adjacent realms) recently becoming less profitable due to de-colorization of the gumdrops after the Vanishing. The Gumdrop miners have been delving deeper into the mine looking for richer veins of this valuable resource. As they have delved deeper some of the miners have begun to disappear. Worries about the disappearances have all but crippled the production of gumdrops of sufficient quality. Whispers of something not of candyland being found in the depths have begun creating an atmosphere of dread for the workers, who are threatening to strike unless someone finds the root of their problems. Jolly Gumdrop is frantically attempting to hire anyone willing to find the root of their problems. They will pay double if the problem is solved as well.
Home Sweet Home - Prison for the worst of Candyland. Nobody knows exactly who or what is kept in Home Sweet Home, it is heavily fortified and noone has ever heard what might be inside. Not even the guards seem to know what is kept inside.
Ice Cream Floats - A series of interconnected ice cream buildings making a floating community. The Ice cream floats is a unique mobile village interconnected with a variety of bridges holding many small floating Ice cream masses together. The fishermen of these islands bring in the harvests of Swedish Fish and other delectables to sell across the realm. Typically a sort of vacation area it travels across the sea following the currents , never staying in one place for very long.
Ice Cream Island - The Farthest reach of the Ice Cream Sea, A massive storm is brewing overhead. The location of the summer home of the royal Kandy family. After Queen Frostine fled there a disturbing storm has begun to brew above the island and has caused quite a commotion amongst the Ice Cream Floats, worrying about what it could mean. None have been able to get an audience with the queen, so she has not been able to provide any answers.
Icecream Slopes - The proudest sportspeople congregate on the Icecream Slopes eager show of their cream boarding skills on the famous slopes. The Duke of Swirl who rules the area was once know as the all time greatest boarder, hosting competetions frequently that drew competitors from the surrounding areas of the Feywild. Recently more unsavory types have been congregating there with promises of riches from the Duke of Swirl. Banditry has become a common problem, and the mercanaries that have been attracted are no better. Disturbances in the Lodges that used to host grand events have driven away those that enjoyed the areas for its sports. The Duke of Swirl seems oblivious to the problems that are becoming widespread in his kingdom. Even while he continues to bring more mercenaries to his cause.

But death is a gentle mistress with a sweet embrace, and you owe her a debt of restitution. Life is not a gift, it is a loan."
Lemon Lime Springs - The Geothermal Lemon Lime Springs offers respite for the weary of mind and soul. Offering amazing restorative properties to those that soak in the hotsprings. Be careful to avoid the marked acid pools, unless you are looking to get burned. Nearby there have been eruptions causing some damage to the area, and occasionally corrupting the pools with high potency citric acid causing a few unlucky residents to melt while they were relaxing. This hasn't stopped people from visiting for the healing properties but there is worry that things might be getting worse, and who knows which hotspring might become a death trap next.
Licorice Castle - The armies of the realm (minus the Royal Minted Police) have been gathered by Lord Liquorice, their general in his home territory. He has been training new recruits and hardening the ones that are veterans in preparation for what appears to be an imminent war. His trusted retainers have been working tirelessly to gather information, and recruit willing citizenry to join the ever growing army. Spidora has been acting as his closest advisor, while Crocket, and Buzzy have been out scouting, recruiting, and protecting the borders. Lord Liquorice himself has abandoned his ancestral home of Liquorice Castle in favor of the more defensible Liquorice Lagoon. This has left the castle completely empty, or at least it was empty last anyone had looked.
Lollipop Woods - The oldest Forest in Candyland covering a huge swath of land, Lolly's favorite area. Many different types of trees, pushpops that retract when touched, Ring Trees, Blow Pops that send out sticky bubble sap. Many areas have not been visited for centuries. The great Lollipop woods are a massive forest covering a large area of the center of Candyland. The depths of the forests are said to be dangerous for those not well practiced in traversing them. Most people stay away from them out of respect of those dangers, rarely going very deeply into the woods. Attempting to skirt them whenever possible. Lolly has retreated into the woods to avoid the attempts from The Duke of Swirl to continue their nuptials so he can declare himself the new King of Candyland. Lolly has instead made an outpost deep in the woods, while continuing to search for answers regarding her Father's diappearance. She has been investigating what caused the disappearance in hopes that it can be reversed, or perhaps find where the Castle has been sent to. Nana Nutt's Peanut Brittle house is also said to lie somewhere in the forest but with its great size it has been slow going to find its location.
Molasses Swamp - Gloppy's home, must be crossed to get to Chocolate Mountain on the way to Gramma Gooey's house. A great Morass of Molasses, ready to drag the unsuspecting down into its gooey embrace. Some of those that have perished this way have come back as molasses creatures, but much of their former self has been lost. Gloppy is always happy and willing to help people he calls friends across the swamp. Anyone that might be a threat to Gramma Gooey however is led in circles until they give up or succumb to the perils of the Swamp. Lots of odd illusions seem to come forth from the mists that occasionally drift through the swamp, and travelers should be extra wary if it becomes misty. Not only does it make it very likely to become lost but other things can happen when the mist arrives.
Peanut Brittle House - An isolated Library Run by Nana Nutt and Bazz. The Great Library of Candyland, also know as the Peanut Brittle House. Every event that has ever happened in Candyland is recorded in the books that dwell here. Perhaps all events that will happen are also housed here. Nana Nutt has kept a special wing dedicated to the prophecies she, and her predecessors have made over time. Never knowing when one of these might be of some use. After the Vanishing Nana Nutt did find a prophecy mentioning the Vanishing, and the arrival of the Candyland Kids to save the realm. But it seems that after telling certain individuals about this, their actions have changed significantly. Nana Nutt is worried about these changes but does not know what can be done to improve the current climate in Candyland. She wants to desperately save and protect this realm she calls home, but is equally worried about dooming it in the process. Many sages and scholars from across the Feywild have sought answers here, but recently they have all left, stating various reasons. The library has become quiet, no sounds of pages idly turning filled its halls. The silence is deafing and Nana Nutt is not taking it well. Bazz attempts to keep her company and her spirits up but is running out of strength to do so. All that seek the library for learning can find it. Those that wish to exploit it will find themselves wandering the Lollipop Forest never to find their goal.
Peppermint Forest - Home to a thriving logging community, providing construction materials for much of candyland (and beyond?) A series of quaint villages dot the edge of the forest, thet thrive off the harvesting of the Cane Trees native to the area. Craftspeople of many varieties have taken up residence in the surrounding areas. From carpentry, to artistry, the Peppermint Forest has attracted a very unique type of resident that is self reliant and tough as jawbreakers. Beautifully carved Cane Wood cabinetry and staves fit for enchanting are some of the most well known products produced. Mr. Mint and his Royal Minted Police were sent to the area by the King prior to the vanishing. They have been performing some kind of maneuvers in the area for quite some time, occasionally sending troops to resupply from the towns in the area. Residents have been hearing disturbing sounds from deep in the forest far from the logging towns. Screechs and howls, and the sounds of combat are heard on calm nights. Nobody has dared to search for the RMP for fear of what lurks in the darkness.
Candy Cane Lane - The one main road that goes directly through the Peppermint Forest has been blockaded by RMP irregulars recruited from the area. Nobody is being allowed to pass through due to ongoing practice maneuvers at the orders of the King, preventing the largest logging camp Spearmint Station from being able to send materials out of the forest. Even messengers have been turned away and ignored, leaving only confusion for those attempting to figure out what is transpiring in the Peppermint Forest, and why Mr. Mint is not helping to search for the king. The only remaining paths circumnavigate the forest passing through many of the craftsman towns along the outskirts. This adds many days to travel, but is fairly safe and easy to stop at a village for every night.
Rainbow Bridge - The most famous bridge in Candyland, made of hundreds, perhaps thousands of different types of candies, taste the rainbow. Recently a group know as the Tootsie Rollers have taken up residence along the rainbow bridge, building Redvine suspended shacks that now house a thriving Flea Market. Offering cut rate goods from many locations of Candyland. A place that lost items tend to resurface, but always for a price. Recent attacks by packs of roaming Horehounds sent by the Sour Patch Trolls have been causing a stir. The disruption in trade and occasional damage to the Redvines suspending the makeshift town have been causing some people to leave due to safety issues. The Tootsie Rollers won't stand for this and are ready to declare all out war against the Sour Patch Trolls. The Sour Patch Trolls have never been this bold before and many think there is something else driving them.
Taffy Towers - The Great Taffy Towers were once one of the premier locations in Candyland, with their stretchy bridges going from tower to tower. Hosting vast arcane laboratories dedicated to discovering the finest flavorings in the Fey Wild. Flavor Town sprawled beneath the towers housing the workers in the Taste Labs All of this came to a tragic end when a great Candastrophy happened in the disposal facility. A great explosion of flavor decimated the area tainting all things in the surrounding area. The Taffy Trellises that once grew the most flavorful of Jelly Bean Varietals became twisted with disgusting flavors. Those that tried them described their flavors as old socks, earwax, and one even said they had a Bogey flavored one once (none wished to ask them how they knew). Still some of the Taste Mages persisted in maintaining their research but nearly everyone has left. Flavor Town Lies abandoned and who knows what has taken up residence there now. The experiments of the Taste Mages with new flavors never seem to work the way they are supposed to. The creations both accidental and otherwise have made this an area that most in Candyland would rather avoid.

A great forest fills a wide valley flanked by rocky peaks on either side. A massive emergent tree at the center of the forest stands tall over all other trees. Nearby a road of sorts that is paved with some kind of golden, reflective material. This road parallels part of the forest before heading towards the great tree at the center. Branching off from the paved road there appears to be several smaller footpaths that head more directly into the forest, and disappear into the dense shadows and foliage.
The forest itself looks dense and jungle-like with a wealth of colors and sounds coming from the shadowy canopy. Small creatures can be seen moving among the trees skittering here and there. Though not frightening in appearances the forest does give a mild sense of foreboding when gazed at for any length of time. Attempts to get a better sense of this feeling yield very few results, aside from it being slightly less in the direction of the great tree. When the wind blows from the forest a delicious smell assaults the senses, that of fresh baked gingerbread wafting on the wind. A bit of a ways down the road a signpost rests carved into the shape of a large hand pointing along the road that reads "Gingerbread Plum Orchard".

"I have found the answer to the meaning of life. You ask me what the answer is? You already know what the answer to life is. You fear it more than the strike of a viper, the ravages of disease, the ire of a lover. The answer is always death.

Gingerbread Plum Orchard
