Im new-ish to being a DM, writing up Vecna Eve of ruin, I am really confused with the secretes track. "Revealing it to the multiverse to gain a momentary boon." What could this mean exactly? Also do I tell players about the secrete tracker from the start or is there a certain point?
If there are any other tips for running, for less self-explanitory bits that would be helpful!
Thank you!

First of all, I don't have the vecna campaign I'm just guessing here, so take my words with a grain of salt.
If you are still reading, thanks for taking my salt, and perhaps if they expose this tracker, and make it so where his name is heard across dimensions, (maybe by spreading rumors to Fey, contouring a demon to spill the beans and dismissing it, alerting a divine being of it). As for the boon, it could be a temporary power up, like advantage of strength rolls for 1 day, or temporary hit points, or a new mystical dog.
Thanks for the ideas! :D I guess I do decide as it doesn't say specifically, hardest part about learning DND I found is I am very black or white with rules

The secret tracker is only for you, to record the secrets the players learn and the ones they then reveal. It shouldn't ever be shown to the players, although they are welcome to keep a running list of their own if they wish of course. You don't have to worry about planning much ahead of time for the players to learn the secrets, that's in the adventure, maybe just after they learn the first one, mention the mechanic to them, that they can gain a temporary advantage by saying them out loud, or they can be held onto to possibly aid later on. :)
I meant if it is only for me to see, then how do they know it is a tihng in the first place, it doesn't explain how to intoroduce the secretes tracker into the campaign, it just tells you there is one.

I was struggling with that too, but apparently as soon as they learn the first secret is time to tell them that the info is somehow special and meaningful
I skipped this issue till now, my players already know a secret XD so I figured to tell them as soon as they get their link to vecna

No problem, always glad to help with dnd. But yeah, we DMs all have our own little battle with the rules.
