I'm running a homebrew game that is going to take the players into Egyptian based mythos, however, I'm not familiar with any material that can help me plan this out. I've dug through the MM and Tomb of Beasts to get some monsters put together and I've got an idea of a plot line. I feel like I'm still a bit short on monsters, traps and other bits to really make it come alive. I'd love to hear from any of you who've done something like this. Also, if you're familiar, any material that could be used as inspiration or plagiarized for what I'm doing, please let me know.
Here are some folks trying to 5e-ify the old Al Qadim D&D setting. Haven't done more than poke at it, looks like they've got some good stuff. You maybe can find old AQ sourcebooks and such for sale online, too.
here's a trap from XGTE Fiery blast trigger: Anyone who steps on the mosaic cause fire to erupt from it. those who openly wear holy symbol of (insert fire god name) don't trigger it. effect a 15-foot cube of fire erupts, covering the pressure plate and area around it. each creature in the area must make a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw, taking 24 (7d6) fire damage on failure and half as much on success. countermeasures. a successful DC 15 Wisdom (Perception) check reveals ash and faint burn marks around the trap. A successful DC 15 Intelligence (Religion) check enables a creature to destroy the trap by defacing a key rune on the perimeter of the mosaic that is within reach: failing the check activates the trap. a successful dispel magic (DC 15) cast on the runes destroys the trap.

There is a MtG Plane Shift D&D setting called Amonkhet that you could likely find online that includes a few racial options, monster stat blocks, and some ideas for reflavoring existing monsters with an Egyptian inspiration. I found it when I was re-reading Rick Riordan's Kane Chronicles a year or two ago and wanted to figure out what a game inspired by the monsters and magic/god system of that series would look like. Some of it may not be super usable for you as it's very setting specific, but it might at least give you some ideas if nothing else!

Here's a bunch more info on AQ too: https://forgottenrealms.fandom.com/wiki/Al-Qadim
Looking for new subclasses, spells, magic items, feats, and races? Opinions welcome :)
Wow, I only skimmed it but it looks like there's a lot of work put into this. I'll have to do some serious reading, thank you for the link.
No problem :) I always liked AQ, even though my groups never got around to playing in it much.

This is amazing! I was literally looking into doing something like this and adding it into my world.

I played AD&D Desert of Desolation adventure in Mulhorand campaign setting and it had real Egyptian vibe!
