Hello everyone, I'm looking to reintroduce a cult in my campaign but I need a cool adventure that sets the cult as the main villain as the campaign boss. The cult is about death, necromancy and typical cult stuff, and they worship a dragonborn lich that seeks to resurrect a bunch of dead dragons.
Kobold Press has a wonderful resource called Demon Cults and Secret Societies that is full of sample cults as well as story hooks for how to tie a cult into your campaign. When in doubt, have them kidnap children. Everyone gets fired up over kidnapped children.

“Finish Him!”
That sounds like the Cult of the Dragon from the Forgotten Realms.
Please check out my homebrew, I would appreciate feedback:
Spells, Monsters, Subclasses, Races, Arcknight Class, Occultist Class, World, Enigmatic Esoterica forms
Yep, look into Hoard of the Dragon Queen/Rise of Tiamat for ideas.
Partway through the quest for absolute truth.
I did realize in the formation of the cult that I basically had the Cult of the Dragon, but I will look into those adventures, thank you
