So, as a first time Dm, I'm not super familiar with the ins and outs of the game and I have a warlock player who's patron is a godlike personification of the CN "lol I'm so random" stereotype. What I was wondering, is whether anyone has some kind of table I could roll on to decide what the patron would think is particularly funny at the moment? It's a fiend patron who is some kind of a worm being if that helps.

I'd say stay away from the randomness. Decide for yourself whether it better fits the story right then for the patron to be happy or angry or indifferent. Otherwise you can get a roll that completely derails your plans and makes things more difficult for you.
If you want, you can kind of fudge it and maintain the illusion of randomness by rolling behind the screen, pretending to reference a table, and then telling the player whatever you like.
I'd recommend looking at the Wild Magic Surge table in the Sorcerer section of the PHB! I would caution against using it all the freaking time (i.e. more than two-three times per session), but having those random magical effects could be quite entertaining and fit the theme of this fiend. Plus, it has 100 options.
Also I think JoCat phrased this particular alignment well. He calls it "Chaotic Stupid."
Well first I want to caution that Chaotic doesn't mean Psycho or Random. Chaotic in D&D simply means that the player doesn't subscribe to a particular ethos, or belief system. Be it religion, honor, duty etc. I know the word implies psycho, or random or well... chaos, but be cautious of falling into that trap. A player who decides to be psycho just because they have "Chaotic" in their alignment can be very disruptive to a group.I'm not saying a player can't be psycho or random from a conscious choice but falling back on alignment as a justification will cause issues all through the campaign.
That said, I don't know of a random table for that but if you're looking for some fun, prank style, things for the patron to do...
Being a worm being.. The area around the warlock could burst out in worms, grubs and other crawly stuff making say a 20' circle difficult terrain.
Since worms can be segmented and grow from any segment... Maybe at awkward times the warlock goes into a modified Mirror Image where the DM speaks for the mirrors and the party had to figure out who the player is.
For some inexplicable reason the player starts stinking like fish for 1d4 hours
During combat on a roll of 1 on a 1d12 a swarm of rot grubs shows up to help the warlock
Collaborate with the player to which this pertains to come up with more detailed personality traits for this god and decide what they find funny in the moment based on that.
Or just decide in the moment.
Or if you want a random factor, keep it simple and just leave it to 50/50 chance. Roll a die and see if they find that particular thing funny that way.
A bit of extra free advice. Have a talk with the player about what Chaotic Neutral means to them, exactly. Sometimes, people see it as an excuse to just do random crap, and annoy other players. Not other characters, but the actual players getting annoyed. It would be worth it to head that off and talk to them about what they plan to do. Let them know if other characters get annoyed, that can be fine (and actually lots of fun), but if other players get annoyed, that's a problem. Decide for yourself how much you are willing to deal with, and be clear with the player about it. There's almost always a way they can play the character they want without stepping on other people's fun in the process. As a rule of thumb, if they ever explain their actions by saying, "But that's what my character would do," they've probably gone too far.

The human mind is better than most random tables, unless the tables have more than 10 options.
Hmm... a trickster fiend.

Just to confirm, the PC itself is not CN, just that the patron is the stereotype of that "lol so random" style.
