other times they get half way through and turn it into a entirely seperate rpg system and waste even more time (im saying these things as someone who has fallen to this trap far to many times) generally the second outcome is better but you can give 5e a whirl
I mean, I don't see how homebrewing would effect races or spells. Unless you are looking to create a completely new scaling system, there should be a way to do it on 5e. What types of classes/races/spells are you going to be implementing?
I'm trying to make a Shin Megami Tensei style homebrew, with new classes, races, spells, etc.
It doesn't really work the same with basic DnD classes/races, so I was wondering if that's a thing people do?
