So a long time ago I made a post about my homebrew wizard subclass I've been using called "plot magic" that stemmed from a reoccurring NPC from campaigns where I DMed.
Long story short, It started as a joke NPC in my first campaign who conveniently always had what party members needed and always knew what was going on due to "plot magic" he quickly became a player favorite and has shown up in all games since then. I am currently playing in a game with the same group and the DM of that one and my self thought it would be fun to play with this NPC's (Alphonso) "origin story" thus I made Plot magic as a playable subclass.
And I finally got it to work on DnDbeyond if you all were interested! Now keep in mind, this is a very Metagamey class by nature and only really fits in campaigns where everyone is on board, but if yall are curious, here you go!
this is very cool, might do well for alternative diviner (getting kinda bored of the base one after my 6th diviner and 4th chronomancer) though will say convience is gonna real out of hand without a gp limit.
So I've been using convenience in game from level's 6-10 (currently) and It hasn't been an issue yet.... Now I know that as the creator wanting the class to be balanced, I'm probably unconsciously avoiding abusing it but so far it hasn't been bad!
The most "useful" thing I've done with it so far is used it to "summon" an ID badge from a high ranking officer of an enemy army so that we could show it to a jeweler to make a forgery. But that type of thing is what I designed it for.
What out of hand things were you thinking? I fully believe you that there's definitely ways to abuse it but I'm curious if you had anything specific in mind.
pulling out high carat emeralds like your some sort of master thief is a simple one or otherwise pulling out random currency (you can pull up to 30 gp at time from it but the gem option is better)
Yeah I thought about that, but it only lasts an hour before vanishing, so if you were planning on selling it, you'd better get lost quick before the merchant watches it disappear lol

Actually it’s 150 gp. 50 gp is a pound.

This isn't actually a signature, just something I copy and paste onto the bottom of all my posts. Or is it? Yep, it is. Or is it..? I’m a hobbit, and the master cranial imploder of the "Oops, I Accidently Destroyed Someone's Brain" cult. Extended sig. I'm actually in Limbo, it says I'm in Mechanus because that's where I get my WiFi from. Please don't tell the modrons, they're still angry from the 'Spawning Stone' fiasco. No connection to Dragonslayer8 other than knowing them in real life.

true not that it matters much gems will always be better
Hear are some things that I thought needed a little clearing up.
Plot armor:
Beginning when you select this school at 2nd level, you gain the ability to ensure that those bound by fate stay alive to fulfill their destiny. You have a pool of d6s that you spend to fuel this protection. The number of dice in the pool equals your intelligence modifier (minimum of one).
When the wizard or their ally within 30 feet is hit with an attack you may expend one of these d6's to roll and add its result to the target's AC . Likewise, if you or someone else within 30 feet of you fails a saving throw, you may use your reaction to spend one of your d6's to add its result to the saving throw. This effect lasts until the start of the your next turn.
Your pool regains all expended dice when you finish a long rest.
Convenience
Fate smiles upon you, granting you uncanny luck at having precisely what you need, precisely when you need it. At sixth level, if you take ten minutes searching through your belongings and succeed on a DC 10 Intelligence check, you may produce a non-magical object weighing no more then 3 pounds. This object can be generic such as a spell component, or specific such as a key to a particular door. If the object is specific, this ability does not create a copy of it, rather relocates the original to you. Once created, the object lasts for one hour before it vanishes (or returning to its original position). You can use this ability once and regain the ability to after you complete a long rest.
Metagaming
at tenth level, the world is a stage to you, and with proper training, you can take a peek at the script. You may use a bonus action to target one creature within 60 feet of you and learn its next actions. The target must make a Charisma saving throw. On a failure, the DM informs you what the target will do on its next turn. This includes the destination of its movement and the targets of any actions it may take. If its action specifies an area of effect rather than a specific target, the DM must divulge which action it is taking, but doesn't have to specify the area affected. On a successful save, you are informed of the target's intended movement, but nothing else. You may use this ability a number of times equal to half your intelligence modifier, rounded up, and regain all uses at the end of a long rest.
Deus ex Machina
At 14th level, your fate is bound to that of the universe. Thus fate itself intervenes in your hour of need. When you drop to zero hit points for the first time after a long rest, Fate intervenes, causing the following effects:
You and all creatures of your choice within 30 feet regain hit points equal to your level plus your intelligence modifier from a healing wave of energy.
All creatures which you didn’t choose within 30 feet of you take force damage equal to your level plus your intelligence modifier from an explosion of magical force.
You gains the benefit of their Arcane Recovery ability from powerful arcane energy revitalizing your stores of magic.
I’m not a great hombrewer, but I’m good at clearing up wording and making hombrew look official.

You are right! You could get quite a lot of expensive gems into 3 pounds.
