I am trying to build a Ranger homebrew subclass that gives them the ability to take an additional specific fighting style (Druidic Warrior), but I can't figure out how to put that into the class features.
How can I make a subclass feature give the option of an additional fighting style of only that class?
The closest workaround I can find is letting them take Fighting Initiate feat, except that only pulls from the fighter fighting style choices, and I am specifically looking for one that is only a ranger fighting style. Or the Magic Initiate feat and they have to pick Druid spells. But it seems like there should be a way to grant an additional fighting style in the homebrew system.
The easiest way to learn would be to make a fighter sub class using the champion as a template and see how they did it for the champion. Although, I’ll save you the time, each fighting style would have to be entered individually as an option. That’s how they did it for champion, they re-created them all individually just for that subclass. It would still be worth it to make a fighter templated from Da Champ to see exactly how they did it, at least you can copy paste the ones that are the same, and you can use the rest as teaching examples of how to make the rest of them.
