I'm working on adding some really cool new material I've picked up into my private homebrew collection so that I can use it my upcoming campaign and give my players access to it. The item I'm working on right now is a Rogue subclass that, at level 9, gives the player the option to choose between gaining Expertise in either Deception or Persuasion, and I'm having some trouble using the current homebrew tools to make that happen. Any advice?

Keep in mind that the Expertise Modifier only works if the character is already Proficient in that Skill.
