It calculates at challenge rating 1, but it's rounded up and I would be willing to believe CR 1/2; the average of 1d4 is 2.5, so the average of 2d4 is 5, so the average of 2d4+3 is 8; and it's Medium, so its Hit Dice are d8s, so you can get 49 (9d8+9) or 55 (10d8+10) hit points, but not 50. If you drop the HP to 49, it suddenly calculates at CR 1/2. The 25-HP ones calculate at CR 1/2, but it's rounded up and I would be willing, though not quite as willing, to believe 1/4.
Also, what type is the damage from its claws? Slashing is traditional.

Damage is suppose to be slashing, just fixed that (thought it was already there but wasn’t).
The hit points I wanted something that halved evenly for the spawned ones to come at half health hence the slightly above average.
I know the system rounds up on CR, but I think the possibility of this thing shooting out 4 more makes a decent argument for it staying CR 1. I more worried about it not being challenging enough. Thinking of sending a group of these at a 4th level party.
Am I allowed to use this in my up coming game? I've been hunting for a way to turn the movie gremlins into creatures and this is the best way I've found so far!
