Hello, recently I've been playing around with the Wildfire Druid and Battle Smith Artificer, and I've wanted to create some homebrew subclasses and feats that share some of the abilities of these classes. While working on one I realized I have No idea how to create a stat sheet (such as the Steel Defender and Wildfire Spirit) and put it into a homebrew subclass so it's available outside of the Extras tab on a character sheet. Does anyone know how to do this, or if it's even possible to be done
It’s super easy, just find a monster statblock that’s similar to what you want and copy/paste it into your homebrew. Just be sure to grab the whole thing top to bottom so it will copy/paste the frame too. Then you can simply edit it however you like. Like this:
Spellcasting. The acolyte is a 1st-level spellcaster. Its spellcasting ability is Wisdom (spell save DC 12, +4 to hit with spell attacks). The acolyte has following cleric spells prepared:
Club. Melee Weapon Attack:+2 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 2 (1d4)bludgeoning damage.
Description
Acolytes are junior members of a clergy, usually answerable to a priest. They perform a variety of functions in a temple and are granted minor spellcasting power by their deities.
👆See how I grabbed the description too so it would grab the frame?
Would I be able to do this with a homebrew monster? And the Copy/paste, just like the drag to highlight copy, or is there another way to guarantee getting the frame?

Any statblock should work. And yeah, just a simple drag-highlight and copy/paste should do. (That’s all I did.)
