I've been trying to make it so the charges from an item which is not a weapon show on the "main" page for the character sheet, which would be where they can see actions such as using weapons they have equipped and also bonus actions such as rage, or reactions, the "actions -> all" tab. I also attempted with custom actions, though that didn't seem to work as I don't see a "charge" or "limited uses" section, but there is a snippet part, is there some magic I can put into the snippet section to make those check boxes appear based on a given number? I've seen the post about how to show str mod or do math regarding the mod, but not a way to change the UI.
If it cannot be done with custom actions, can it be done in the item itself? The item isn't a weapon so it won't normally be on that part of the sheet.
I've seen that races, subclasses, etc can have actions added so I've seen that solution. And the solution I've used atm and I'm fine with in the meantime is I just said it was a club they've got equipped so they can click it and change charges there, but that only cuts it down from 2 clicks to find it to 1 click, would love for it to always be visible. Am trying to streamline some aspects for my players. This does still show options for hitting and damage rolls with it tho, is there a way to remove those?
Other questions regarding custom actions, is there a way to add a negative to hit modifier or anything to make great weapon master easier? Atm I've just set it based off of a stat 5 lower than their str, but that might lead to some odd interactions if they ever have a stat lowered. Is there a way to add multiple types of damage dice?
No, custom actions cannot have limited uses attached to them and charges on magic items will only show on the equipment tab of the sheet. You will have to use a custom feat.
As for GWM, th easiest solution is to add another copy of the weapon to the character sheet and customize it to account for the -5/+10, and set the weight to 0.
Thanks for both of the replies! Wonderful alternative fix, and always great knowing when something isn't possible so I don't get anxious and waste time thinking about it. Hope you have a nice day.
Hi!
Hope this is the right place to ask this.
