Hello! I am currently in the middle of trying to Homebrew my very first subclass; a variant of the Drakewarden featured in Fizban's Treasury of Dragons. The Drake Companion stat block often refers to the PCs proficiency bonus (PB) as an additional bonus for the companion, meaning that the companion will grow stronger as the PCs proficiency bonus grows.
For example, the Drake Companions AC value is 14 + PB. I am wondering if there is a way to make the stat block display the final result of a calculation as the AC value, where the PB is added automatically.
Is this even possible in this case?
Thanks!
edit: The Drake Companion also has a HP value calculated from the PCs Ranger Level. I am wondering if there is a similar solution there as well!
Take a look at this thread. It shows you how to use snippets, little things that allow you to calculate numbers using player statistics, such as proficiency bonus and level.

I know I answered this in a PM, but I’m putting the answers here too so others can find it:
You cannot have those values automatically fill in the statblock. That’s just not possible. What you can do however is use snippets like the way the Battle Smith Artificer’s Steel Defender was implemented.

That coincides with Quar1on’s answer as well.
