Is there a way to manually over ride and give a non-spell caster a specific spell to cast? Basically I am trying to grant my player who is a Barbarian/Fighter some spider man abilities, lol. He got swarmed and bit by a hoard of strange spiders defending the party. The kid is a huge Spider-Man fan so I thought it would be a fun to have him develop some Spidey powers as a reward for the team work and the roleplaying and want to give him the ability to cast the spider climb and web spells once each per long rest, but can't find any way to manually add the spells to a non-spell caster class. I assume its probably not since the class doesn't have any of the spell casting stuff on the back side, but thought I'd ask and see if anyone had figured out a way.
You can do it via feats. Just make a single feat that lets you choose any spell to be able to cast once per long rest, and then add it to character sheets with whatever spell when you want to add a spell.

Look at what you've done. You spoiled it. You have nobody to blame but yourself. Go sit and think about your actions.
Don't be mean. Rudeness is a vicious cycle, and it has to stop somewhere. Exceptions for things that are funny. Go to the current Competition of the Finest 'Brews! It's a cool place where cool people make cool things.

You would create a feat as Quar1on suggested, add the spell you want with a limited use of 1 and a reset of long rest. Then you would add the second spell the same way.
I was trying to add a set of nonviolent spells to my fighter with a unique religion, thank you so much. I was tired of scrolling through all the options trying to figure out how to add spellcasting
Thank you, I just managed to finagle it on my own right before I saw this. Any suggestions regarding a goofy spell I made up where my character can materialize a basic wooden chair up to 60 feet away? I’ve already made it and I do intend to drop the chair on people (not for damage, it’ll probably only do like 4 damage)

Thanks guys, thats good advice, I'll make it as a feat and will call it the "Spider-Goob" feat, named after the player, lol

I’d have to see your spell.
