You might know Fade Away in case you own Xanathar's. It is a racial feat for Gnomes that basically works like this: (reaction when you take damage) turn invisible until end of next turn, unless you break invisibility. I was thinking a lot about that mechanic, and seeing similar relationships between Eladrin and Misty Step I thought, maybe turning Fade Away's mechanic into a Level 1 or Level 2 spell would be interesting.
Invisibility is a Level 2 spell; but it lasts longer; however the cast also takes more time.
The Fade-Away-type spell could also be Level 2 (similar to Misty Step); simply because Invisibility is usually gated at least at this type of level.
What do you think?
Also a plus idea; you might know Mist Walker by Cody from Taking20. Turning Fade Away into a class mechanic might be very interesting. I was always interested in having these kinds of options available for Rogue subclasses.
Archfey patron for warlock gives a very similar class ability. That being said, I guess it’d be pretty interesting as a spell in its own right. It would just have to be different enough that they aren’t *exactly* the same thing

I know what you're thinking: "In that flurry of blows, did he use all his ki points, or save one?" Well, are ya feeling lucky, punk?
