Hi, I'm trying to make a homebrew species. Incubus. I took inspiration from existing species, as well as the incubus monster to create this homebrew. Though i'm running into issues with trying to make it under the species homebrew creator. i cant get darkvision to show up, and with the spells theyre always there even when i have it set to not show up until certain levels. i usually dont have issues with making other homebrew items and spells. but this is really confusing me.
if anyone has any ideas please help, thank you!
Incubus: Ability score increase: When determining your character’s ability scores, increase one score by 2 and increase a different score by 1, or increase three different scores by 1. Languages: Your character can speak, read, and write Common. Your choice between either Abyss, or Infernal and one other language that you and your DM agree is appropriate for the character. Creature type: You are a humanoid. Size: You are medium. Speed: your walking speed is 30 feet, your fly speed is 40 feet. Darkvision: You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light and in darkness as if it were dim light. You discern colors in that darkness only as shades of gray. Seductive wit: You have proficiency in the Deception and Persuasion skills. Fiendish composure: You have Advantage on saving throws you make to avoid or end the Charmed condition. Otherworldly charm: You know the Friends cantrip. Starting at 3rd level, you can also cast charm person with this trait. Once you cast it this way, you can’t do so again until you finish a short rest. You can also cast it using any spell slots you have of 1st level or higher. At 5th level you, you can also cast Suggestion with this trait. Once you cast it, you can’t do so again until you finish a long rest. You can also cast it using any spell slots you have of 2nd level or higher. Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma is your spellcasting ability for these spells when you cast them with this trait (choose when you select this race). Claws: You can use your claws to make unarmed strikes. When you hit with them, the strike deals 1d6 + your Strength modifier slashing damage, instead of the bludgeoning damage normal for an unarmed strike. Shape changer: Succubus Form. When the incubus finishes a Long Rest, it can shape-shift into a Succubus, using that stat block instead of this one. Any equipment it’s wearing or carrying isn’t transformed.
