So one of my players was able to decapitate a fire giant and wanted to turn the skull of the fire giant into a flail. Think of the witch kind in lotr return of the king. I was wondering what should be the cost of having this homebrew weapon maked
Assuming it's non-magical and has stats in line with weapons in the PHB, I would say 25-50 gold to find a smith able to work with bone without breaking it.
Err, Fire Giants are size: Huge which happens to be the same size as a Elephant. It's fair to say that a Fire Giant's skull would be about the same size as a real world elephant. Not so sure you could wield that as a weapon.

Definitely would end up as a Heavy weapon regardless, perhaps with a strength requirement. It does depend what you want to do, OP. If you're just looking for a standard weapon with it for the flavour then you'll be fine with a bit of a gold increase. If you're trying to work with it a bit more in depth and hoping to turn it into some kind of magical item then it's going to take a bit of work with your DM. But 25-50 gold seems legit.
