So I've had this greedy idea of making a new school for wizards that's centered around the wealth of gold, this means I'll also be making a new spell type called Fortune Spells. It is still very new and extremely unpolished, but I'm listing it here for some early feedback and comments.
Thank you in advance, I'll be more than happy to take anyone's feedback into consideration.
School of Fortune:
Fortune Savant
Beginning when you select this school at 2nd level, the gold and time you must spend to copy a fortune spell into your spellbook is halved.
Fabricate Gold
At 2nd level, you gain the power to magically fabricate gold at the cost of your own, with a chance to either loose or gain a small fortune. You may take a moment (equal to 1 action) to sacrifice 5 gold and roll 1d20 + Intelligence Modifier, and consult the effects below: (Every extra 5 gp spent increases the d6 by 1)
0 - 9: Nothing happens
10 - 20: Gain 1d6 + gold sacrificed
This feature can only be used 3 times before a short or long rest.
The base d6 increase at higher levels, d8 (4th level), 1d10 (6th level), 1d12 (10th level), 1d20 (17th level)
Benefit of Wealth
Starting at 6th level, you can use your action to magically imbue a number of gold pieces to form a Weapon +1 (uncommon), costing 100gp to form this weapon.
Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest.
Chest of Treasure
Beginning at 10th level, if you do not already own a components pouch you may add one to your inventory. Your components pouch now generates enough gold pieces to initially cast any fortune spells. If any gold pieces produced from the pouch are 10ft outside it, they magically disappear.
Hoarding Nature
Starting at 14th level, you gain the ability to transform into a young gold dragon at the cost of 1,000 gold pieces. This form lasts for 5 minutes, but you may spend an additional 1,000gp to Increase it by 5 minutes and so on. While in this form, the gear you had on you magically transformed with you and isn’t dropped. You cannot use any previous features while in this form (unless it becomes permanent)
Sacrificing 1,000gp every 5 minutes for 5 hours permanently transforms you into a young gold dragon.
I'm curious about what you mean by fortune spells. Are they homebrewed spells? Are they spells you've identified as fortune spells?
Benefit of Wealth feels a little strange, as you can simply create an item without any duration. Also, a weapon +1 isn't as helpful to a wizard as, say, a wand of the war mage might be.
Hoarding Nature is cool, but I would be very clear about how it works. Does it work like polymorph, wild shape, true polymorph?

Thanks for the feedback, currently applying those changes now. Also yes, by Fortune spells I’m referring to Homebrew creations.
i like the idea, but i dont think you should make it a school of magic.
