I am trying to add the thrown property to a home-brewed magic item I am making for one of my players and I am trying to add the thrown property to a weapon based on a scimitar. I got "Modifier Type"="Weapon Property" and "Modifier Subtype"="Thrown" but it keeps coming up Range: 5ft/5ft on the character sheet. no matter how many ways I have tried to make it the usual 20/60 I can not seem to get it to work. What am I doing incorrectly? Please Help me.
Since this seems to be the only thread/discussion I can find on this topic I suppose I'll put my findings here (though they aren't much).
The new default seems to be "Range: 10ft/10ft" as that's what displays when I create and give a weapon the "Thrown" property that normally shouldn't have the "Thrown" property. Because the new default has been changed, this leads me to believe they've fiddled with it? I still cannot find any way or combination to get any other Range or Thrown Range to display outside of simply adding the correct distance within the description of the weapon.
Seems odd to me that they've changed the default from 5/5 to 10/10 and yet still don't let us put in a range... I'm hoping (though doubting) a DDB Dev sees that this is still something some DM's would love to see worked on/corrected.

It's still 5/5 for me. Are you using a Reach weapon as the base? My guess is it's maybe just pulling the melee range of the weapon but changing the range TYPE to that of a thrown weapon, resulting in the short/long range being listed but having them reflect the weapon's base reach of 5 or 10 for both values. Little things like this would definitely be nice fixes if they ever expand on the homebrewing tools.

It isn't a Legit fix but i went into the customize section of items on the character page and made a note for the throwing distance of an item.
Eample:
RANGE: (30/90ft)
