I want to make an oath breaker class for the evil oaths that turn good. The oathbreaker in the DMG very much assumes the oathbreaker is villainous and I would like an option for the reverse scenario, where a conquest or vengeance paladin turns good. I would love suggestions for abilities and expanded spells
it could be, but an oathbreaker is meant to be more powerful than a normal subclass. So that's how i'm approaching it
That’s only because the Oathbreaker is supposed to be a BBE, not a PC subclass.
Yeah but a player can get it if the player does certain things and if the DM allows it. It's no different from a boon or a magic item. It is a reward if you (the DM)want it to be. It is meant to represent a paladin overcoming the constraints of their oath and harnessing the granted power to their own ends.
