In my games I would allow a Sorcerer player to have bloodline spells. So I wanted to make a feat that would let you choose a bloodline option (wild magic, draconic, etc.) and then it would just add the corresponding bloodline spells to the character.
Unfortunately when I go under "options" when homebrewing a feat, I can only add actions not spells....
And yes I know I can make variants of each subclass with the bloodline spells added or make a feat based on magic initiate for each subclass... But I don't want to do that, it's unnecessarily clutter. I should be able to that in one feat.
I just want to make one feat that lets you choose an option and the spells get added/taken off whenever an option is chosen or changed. Is there anyway to do it that I'm not seeing or am I stuck making variants for each subclass?
Also, why can you only put actions under "options"? I imagine it would make things so much simpler if you could add other stuff. for example, Instead of separate magic initiate feats for each class, just make one and let the player choose what class.
You will have to make them as separate feats, that’s why there is a Magic Initiate feat on DDB for each option, even though techno others should only be 1 feat with multiple options. It is a limitation of the creation software.
The easiest thing to do would be to make a homebrewed version of each Sorcerer subclass and add them under “additional specific spells.”
PS- There is a forum specifically for homebrew questions:
Note: when adding spells through a feat they cannot be used like normal spells: they cannot be cast using spell slots and will show as "at-will" if limited use data is not set. This also means they will not show at higher levels for upcasting either.
If you want to give Origin spells (not bloodline, the Sorc subclass is called an Origin as most can be taken without anything to do with bloodline or lineage) you are much better off just making a copy of the subclass to add them there, instead. You won't be able to share it publically but can use it for private use and anyone in the same campaign as your can use it too.

I figured that would be it, thanks...
I wonder what the odds are the software gets an update that expands the things you can do
They are already currently working on it, but there are no ETAs, and we don’t know what all is getting upgraded, or in what order it will be done.
