Fleshing out my first homebrew race, I am looking for a bit of help from others who have created and use homebrew races in their games.
If all goes well, I want to be able to make the race available for play test, for the public, in a few days.
Let me know if you are interested in helping out.
I have an introduction, description, and such for the race. I am working on adding racial traits and abilities at the moment. Some of these abilities are level locked to be available as they grow. One of them that I worry will be OP has both offensive and defensive capabilities. The offensive description is as follows:
Beginning at 7th level, you have reached a harmony with fire, and can use this harmony to affect other element spells being cast within your line of sight, up to 60 ft away. This ability can be used 3 times per long rest.
Harmony Ablaze is used as a reaction, and grants one of the following boosts to an element spell cast by someone other than yourself, within the specified range. Use of this must be declared before the caster rolls to attack.
Give advantage to the 'to hit' roll for an elemental spell.
Add 1D6 fire damage to the spell. (Only effective for 1 round.)
The spell caster adds 1D4 to the saving throw DC.

You can lead a dwarf to water, but you can't make him get in the boat.
You could also have the ability be available at an earlier level, with only one out of the three benefits, and get the other two later. You might get the extra fire damage at 3rd level, the advantage at 5th level, and the increased DC at 7th level.
I had considered giving the ability at an earlier level, but not in this form. I like it. My thoughts had been to give it earlier, with all abilities, but increasing the number of times it could be used per day. Starting at 1, and increasing by 1 every other level. 1 at 1st, 2 at 3rd, 3 at 5th, etc. With unlimited uses at 20th level, but this seemed more appropriate if I ran it as a character class instead of a race.
