“But no living man am I! You look upon a woman...You stand between me and my lord and kin. Begone, if you be not deathless! For living or dark undead, I will smite you, if you touch him.” ― J.R.R. Tolkien, The Return of the King
She is doubled over, her arms outstretched, feigning trying to contain this green, toxic smoke. Although she is aware they won’t see her through the smog, she is adamant that you must commit your whole body to every performance.
Viv can just make out the silhouettes of three figures in the dim flickering lights. They seem to be paused and discussing something in low nearly inaudible voices.
"Clear out if you know what's good for you too. These sewers are under the protection of the Reaper," a juvenile voice calls before the entire party hears the sound of foot steps retreating and the flickering lights fade away.
Combat ended. Post at will.
OOC: Killi you're killn' it!! LOL

Quendar lowers his hand, letting the magical energy that was pent up within it dissipate into air, a small spark quickly extinguished being the only trace left. He then slips his rapier into its sheath and looks over at Viv.
A smile almost gets to the corners of his mouth, before it disappears. He gives Viv a curt nod, acknowledging what she has accomplished.
"Let's get moving before they come back," Quendar says. "I vote for following them out and leaving the way we entered in the first place."
Vivi take’s a brief curtsey, smiling proudly at her companions, ”Yes, let’s press on, I can keep this up ahead of us so we can keep some consistency in our charade.” She walks over to the toxic smog, her posture shifting back to that of the stern official as she mimes pushing the illusion forward. The smog give’s way at her gesture, travelling ahead of the group as they move. (Being aware of the illusion should allow them to see through it) she muses as they go, “Interesting how they were so comfortable to reveal their affiliations to who they believed was an official of the city. Seems they may have friends in high places.”
Morgana slides the throwing knife back into her bandolier sheathe, the blade making a satisfying shink sound. "Either they know someone and have cut a deal with city officials, or it was some scared kid trying to make himself sound more important than he was."
She pats Viv on the shoulder, her slender face with a smile. "Well done, Viv. Seems like Kohuru was right to get the both of us involved."
She keeps her pace with her friends as they continue out of the tunnel.

Anthix sighs with relief as the blades vanish from his hands, standing and dusting himself off a bit "let us be rid of this vile place.... My scales feel all.... Grimy Uggg" he joins the group trying to mind his steps as best as possible.
Vivi smiles at her friends comment, “Indeed, but hapless in the recruitment of some others. A scrapper who scarpers at the first sign of danger, and a mage who couldn’t recognise a simple book portal, I’m surprised we made it with that comedy of errors. Quendar, Anthix, did you catch any wind of who recommended them?”
Bleeding still and limping along Anthix's grumble echoes around the party accompanied by Q's tone of voice echoes too. Moving through the tunnel they make it past the final Reaper's cache and the grate above to the common area outside of the wealthy district that housed the Virago's manison and curiosities. There is no sign of any of the others who fleed ahead of you but the grate is securely in place unlike you left it before your adventure began! The sewer is getting cold as it seem the stone walls around weep with the water above and the canal on the other side pressing in on the party's escape to the evening above.

As they approach the rungs, Vivi keeps her illusory smog around the group, hoping it will keep them from being spotted if anyone was spying on them as they are opening the grate.
Morgana struggles but can't shift the grate. Q can't see through Viv's smog. The party can hear carts passing over the grate above and Morgana pauses for help to shift the grate.

"this is gonna be a bit of a tight window.... With people getting ready for the day we might need to do this quickly" Anthix stops and leans against the wall to catch his breath looking at the bandages.
Quendar looks up from the fog and at Morgana at the grate. Lacking her physical strength, Quendar isn't sure he can help much but he does climb part way up the ladder, braces his back against the wall and provides extra leverage on the crowbar to Help Morgana.
"If this doesn't work I could try using magic to break the grate, but that will be loud, attract attention, and might not work," Quendar says.
Morgana and try again with Q's help and roll with advantage.

More out of a desire to not step in anything than any worry about being quiet, Quendar steps gingerly as they pass through the tunnels.
"Kaz didn't share a lot of information before you showed up," Quendar replies to Vivi. "I'd seen them in passing but had never worked with either."
